I want to say a big thanks to everyone on Totalnfs for being such a great bunch. I always knew it but since coming back to Need For Speed Porsche online it has been a great experience. The racers I have met have really amazed me with their skills. I haven't yet had an easy ride, in fact I have been dripping sweat more than once I have to admit. Not that that is a bad thing as a good old sweat is nothing if it was fun building it up. :) The top fifty times seem an impossibilty to me right now but with a lot of practice I may sneak in at 49 or 50 here and there... ;)
Now if only the Flying Clomp and the Outlaw they called T was around to help me run those old tracks....
Here is my transport BTW:http://www.btinternet.com/~vvp/newlivery.jpg

You're right about the times Rob. I was stunned when I saw the times on the top 50 when I came out of my 6 month retirement. I can't explain it, but my times are a lot faster now too - yet I don't feel that I am driving any differently
I remember how hard it was to break 3:00 at Pyrennes forward in the Super Speedster, but now it seems too easy.
Enjoy your reaquaintance with PU mate. I am already losing interest again. There needs to be more variety and a lot more tracks I think.

Wow nice set of wheels Spidey. :hat:-^
As you are Spiderman I am interested in knowing why you would need a vehicle anyway. Does your lady "V" drive it while you are towed (by web) on rollerblades?

 Hey Rob! It was great to see ya yesterday, even if only for a few minutes.-^ I saw an old M8 of yours WC_MR911 dropped in for a few races. As you know many of the "Old Timers" like yourself had grown bored,or fed up with the cheats, and moved on to other games, like GPL,SCGT,Nascar Heat,or F1 200x,and at the risk of offending fans of those games, since I've not played any of them online,I believe it's the community spirit that draws people back again and again. It must be, as the tracks and cars haven't changed!^_^ IMESHO,it's that spirit that makes PU so much fun;almost irresistable really, and the best all round driving game currently available.

Yes Dave it is amazing how what a lot of thought were ceilings on times way back then have been extended even more. I thought the crew were a hard bunch but even the crew would struggle with the new recruits. I hope not to get too bored by not getting PU infection again... but I have these strange dreams now at night. A bad sign hehe.
Acca, I can hardly go down Wood Green on a web mate. It would give the game away. tsk  V (Virginie) is Wonderwoman. She just spins around real fast and whoooosh she's there. She doesn't need a car. At least that's what I tell her ;)
Crickey! MR911 rings a big bell in my head but I can't for the life of me remember exactly who he is! Oh god I must be at that age.. and no I didn't puff this weekend :( What I like about PU is how simple it is to get it up and running especially online because if it works it works really well. Updates automatically etc... I love that. The peeps online just make it that little bit special. I missed that a lot. But I must not become addicted. I must not become addicted. I must.. OK cu later I'm just going on to the server for a quick fix :D

Rob MR911 is one of the notorious ex-Repo Men who joined the Wrecking Crew. If memory serves, he joined the Crew before me and long before Mysh cast off his RM patch :D

.. V (Virginie) is Wonderwoman. She just spins around real fast and whoooosh she's there. Holy underwear Batman. Wow it is a small world. But I guess they say you marry your own type (i.e. cops marry cops, doctors hitch-up with doctors, super heroes get stuck into super heroeinz :D, etc).
Just wondering what webs you wove to snag her. :D
Does V know Wonder Weasel? &(
Is Bullwinkle J Moose really that stupid?
What does Batfink think of Batman and vice-versa? No probs over copyrights?
Do super heroes use their real names or are you guys like Hollywood actors? I know Superman isn't his real name and Spidey isn't yours but what names are the paychecks under? Real or super hero name?
Sorry that I am so excited and have so many questions. I'll be tuned in at the same Bat time on the same Bat forum tomorrow for the answers to these and other great super hero questions.

OK. I have calmed down a bit after my run in with TriFfid and his mates on some damn MC circuit  The 78T was never meant to run on those streets but it was fun all the same.
So Mr911 joined after I got dishonourably discharged from the crew then? I think that's why I got mixed up. Mr911 I think I remember but not the WC_Mr911...
It was fun riding those tunnels on Corsica last night Wazz :) I especially liked your 360 handbrake mid air turn. One to remember. Shame I was so slow on the old Screenshot button hehe.
Acca. Batman is probably a cool bloke. Not so sure about the underpants thing again  and as for Robin hahaha. No taste whatsoever. The car isn't all that bad though. Bit over the top maybe... Superman, well it's those underpants again. Sigh. They never learn.
Paychecks? Listen to the lyrics:
Spiderman, Spiderman
does whatever a Spider can
spins a web any size
catches thieves just like flies
look out, here comes the Spiderman
is he strong? listen bud
he's got radioactive blood
can he swing from a thread?
take a look over head
hey there! there goes the Spiderman
in the chill of night
at the scene of a crime
like a streak of light
he arrives just in time
Spiderman, Spiderman
Friendly neighbourhood Spiderman
wealth and fame he's ignored
action is his reward
to him life is a great big gang up
wherever there's a hang up
you'll find the Spiderman...
No mention of paychecks there mate :D

I read shag for snag there for a minute. Shame you were so close :D Wonderwoman is a great snag mate... :)
Oh god is that the time?
