Some of you know I was recently transfered to Calgary AB so after makin' some previous arrangements with Teej(Commander), the miss's and I went out on the town for the 1st time last night to celebrate our 14th anniversary(secret to a long marriage...keep her drunk)..lol.
Anyway...we went out for a nice supper then headed to a bar called the Night Gallery where Teej's band,"Optimal Impact", and about 9 other groups were playing for a charity deal. Why do they always save the best for last at these things..."OI" didn't get on stage until around 1:30 am, thats really pushin' it for this old dog but it was well worth the wait, Teej and his buds were the class of the field by far. Even yours truly got off his @ss to dance with the miss's while they were on stage, and believe me..that don't happen every day.
Something I thought was strange and the wife thought was funny...ppl kept tellin' me who I look like...one said Jerry Garcia, one said Chong(yikes)...and another just thought I could direct him to some drugs....maybe I should change my image...lol...NOT.(and no...I couldn't help him).
So anyway, it was nice to meet an online bud face to face and we had a good night out in our new home.
And btw Teej, I believe I heard you say you were going to come by and pick up my lawnmower for a tune up.

Hay DC_Spd have ever had the disire to go to the Middle east?
well now u dont have to! just go to the far N.E of calgary and you will fell like your in a distant land.
The Far north east of calgary is just like pakistan or afganistan with out the sand or good wether but u still get to see all the south ashans u want! with the prostitution gang beets and gun fights with high powerd rifels u deserv!
ps: dont go to the far N.E of calgary if your white (trust me!)
But on a lighter note if u want drag racing and good booz go to the south (no joke its a good place to be)

Funny you should say that Slid3r, guess where I live....NE of the airport. Yes it is a bit colourful, but that doesn't concern me...and yes I'm white...but I moved here from New Westminster bud, if anything, I would say the neighborhood is an improvement...lol, they're likely more concerned about me.

Lance (that's DC Spd for all those who are unfamiliar), I am amazed you got to the board so quickly! I think I am just waking up, heheh, dang near Monday morn. Anyway, it was really fantastic to hang with you and Sherry!
For all reading, I must testify that DC_Spd and his wife are all out amazing people, and I can assure you we will continue to have fun together in the future. I will also say, the night was incredibly energetic, and even with our guest vocalist and our 'end-of-the-night' slot, we (OI) really topped the night off. The crowd at that joint just dig us hardcore for some reason... not that I am complaining, lol. On top of it all, at the end of the night Lance and I finally had a chance to hang out and chew the fat without the bombardment of decibals. What a truely nice man! Once again, I must salute this board and it's guests for providing a mature and friendly atmosphere where strangers are able to get to know one another and really become friends. It's hard to believe that "Posrche Unleashed", along with the kind hospitality of the "Total NFS" team has made me a new friend. Hats off to Lance and his good wife Sherry, who both really helped me feel like a million bucks last Saturday night! Long live The Crew; Wreckers or Demolishers, heh. :HB:
Take care all,
Teej

Hey Teej, I may have come to Calgary from the coast but I am still a old prairie farm dog..I get up and kick the rooster in the @ss even when you young'ns keep me up till 3am....lol.
...and Ditto what you said about this place(Total) and it's members, the Net would not be same without it.
I was wondering about the singer, knew he wasn't a familiar face on the OI web site. He did a bang-up job for ya. Is he up for a permanent position in the band?
...anyway..the bar is always open at Lance and Sherry's(affectionately known as the "Hotel California"...you can check out...but you can never leave)..lol. A bud at the coast tagged us with that.
