Team Demolition Crew wins pole at Lime Rock.
DC_Racecar (roush1d) posted the quickest time to take the pole at Lime Rock for the coming ISCC race. His next nearest competitor was nearly 1/2 second behind. DC_McGregor was 4th in the qualifying, 3/4 second behind DC_Racecar.

Great idea!
Come one, come all to Saturday Nite Racing (SNR). SNR was created by a bunch of ex-PU'ers (who needed someplace to store their sizeable cache of C4 <grin>).

Bring yer favorite SCGT car.
Currently, SNR is hosting two race series on Friday and Saturday nights. (6:00 PM Pacific, 2:00 AM GMT and about 10:00 AM in Oz) We're using "Vintage" add-on cars and the GTQ cars from SCGT.
Full details at the SNR site.
SCGT is more of a simulation than PU. Collision is never off and damage is optional. (It's currently off at SNR. We race for the fun of it.)
If the arcade nature of PU is beginning to wear thin, then SCGT may be for you.

DC_Racecar (roush1d) wins at Lime Rock!
Congrats to DC_Racecar for demolishing the competition at ISCC's race at Lime Rock today. The margin of victory was a full 45 seconds over the second place competitor. His fastest lap, in race trim, was 37.041 seconds. Except for the start and pit stop laps, only two laps were over 37 seconds! 38.259 and 38.392. Outstanding performance!!!
This win has tied Team Demolition Crew with Team Horse With No Name for the lead in the team championship.
Doug said, "... one of my best races ever ..."
He is now leading the ISCC championship point standing by 2 points over DPBay, the winner at Sebring. And that after a slow start in the opening heat at Sebring.
Unfortunately, DC_Racecar won't be able to attend the qualifying for LeMans next week, but hopefully will be available for the 3 heat marathon in the ensuing weeks.
DC_McGregor, after a lackluster race, was able to place 5th. Mostly due to others having more problems than he. He is currently tied for 6th place in the standings. He is also looking forward to Spede Demn (DC_Spd) to get back up to snuff in SCGT and joining in the ISCC series. He said, "We need someone to give Doug more support than I have so far. If anyone can do it, Lance can!"
The race results, championship and team standings are available at the ISCC home page: http://iscc.s5.com/

Thanks Robert!
After a disasterous test race, it became a strategy to not go after the fastest possible lap but rather match times with my previous lap.
So I was 1 second off of my best lap in practice however it paid off!
I will be there for LeMans qualifying however the week after that, I'm away. The ISCC combines results from 3 weekends at LeMans(2 daytime races and one nighttime) for the winner and points, so the championship isn't in the cards unfortunately. =((

wtg both of you, 1st and 5th and tied for team standings now, great work. Judging from my performance in testing I think it will be awhile before I'll be joining you in iscc, don't think you need much support from the sand traps..lol.

... to make room for other foot. (Need a bigger mouth.)
Bull!!!!
Just don't run into my car. You'll find me there, waiting for you in the kitty litter. I had so many offs today I couldn't count them. And still (thank doG) placed 5th. I was lucky and I know it.
The best way to get back in form is to get in there and race!
We should also get together for practice sessions. Haven't been doing that lately. Getting too old and tired. LoL I remember the drastic improvements that came about after you did a little piggy-backing.
