I have the original CD it came with my wheel, Logitech formula force wingman whatever, my problem is half of the tracks I can't race. For example whenever I start sebring I get booted to desktop, is there any way to solve this, any help is greatly appreciated...

Chris, I'm not sure if this will work for you but I had the same problem in NFSPU with a couple of tracks. I saved my "SaveData" folder and then re-installed NFSPU. That would solve my problem tracks but then a couple others would do the same. I think it took 3-4 re-installs before I was able to race all the tracks.

SCGT can be tricky to set up so that you get the good graphics and everything working.
We have an SCGT install description link on the DC Site (see below). Go to the SCGT page after reaching the main page. Follow it in doing a fresh install. That should help, hopefully. :)

Don't run scgt on 1024 unless you have the high res patch, I got my cd the same way and some of the tracks won't work if the graphics are maxed. Generally we only use 800/640 for online racing anyway. Definately check out SNR(see my sig) and the DC page as Doug mentioned, we got SCGT covered. It's age may be showing a bit but SCGT is still a very good sim with a large following.

...and btw..there is an SCGT forum here on Total..albeit a little quiet. Welcome to the game.

Lance is right that some tracks including Chatham and Sebring won't work at resolutions over 800x600. Whenever I tried to race on them at 1024x768 the game would crash.

Thanks guys :D

But you guys said something about the High Res Patch, where could I get that, and also are there servers for this game just like there are for NFS PU, I love this game and the physics are nice, I know for a fact that there are third party cars for this game but are there also some other tracks????

Again if you guys could direct me to the high res patch that would be great. Thanks again, i would have thought to turn down the resolution.

I know they have the High Res patch over at the Saturday Night Racing site - Doug or Lance should be able to give you the link.

There are dozens of tracks to choose from. I'm currently at work or I would post some links for you :)

The physics are most realistic if you use the advanced options editor to tweak the settings to "real sim" and "slick grass" (if my memory hasn't completely failed me) -^

There aren't any dedicated servers that I am aware of bit there are many very active leagues to choose from running many different carsets.

The link for SNR (Saturday Nite Racing) is in DC_Spd's post above, also its in the SCGT page within the DC Site.
SNR has the High Res Patch in its Files section.
Also in the Bookmarks section there are over 40 related links. Look for Speedsims and High Gear in there, plus the Track List. There are so many tracks, some of us have over the 64 track limit that the game allows. There is a utility to disable selected tracks to stay within that limit (link is on the DC's SCGT page, and also in the Bookmark links - sometimes the site is down, in which case you can find it in the Speedsims file's section).

Best way to install new tracks is to have the "ban_scene" or the "Touring Car patch" installed first. We recomend the TC patch, after it's installed tracks are quite easy to add and it will add 4 new classes of cars along with a separate executable. At the DC's SCGT section you'll find a recomendation guide explaining what needs to be installed and in what order. It would be best to uninstall SCGT and start over using the guide. There are lots of addons for this game but problems can arise if not done correctly, however if done right, you end up with a great sim and some very close and fun online racing.

First and formost you should join S.N.R.(saturday night racing), link in my sig. and since Josh was good enough to give us an SCGT forum here we should be using it.

Josh....maybe you want to move this thread over? Up to you. I'm pretty sure that Doug ,Mac and myself all check it regularily so that any questions wouldn't be missed.
