Will you e-mail whoever runs this site, or will I do so.. I feel like offering him a new website design, free of cost.. (Though of course, I wouldn't..)

Realistically, that is beginner quality web-site design.. Not quality page design.. Not only that, I see some plaguerism on that site too.. The left menu features what looks to be the Microsoft Windows Media Player, or, at least, the Microsoft inter-weaving coloured boxes theme for the rollover images..

And, it's just not consistent.. Click on the personal pages link.. WOAH, where did the menu go.. Oh, it's moved to the top now. Oh, I just looked at the design contract, and, then menu has gone completely! Not a good idea when doing a website.

Their are so many things that Quality Page Design has done wrong, or incorrectly with their site... It's depressing. But, just looking at the source code for the pages tells me a lot about this company..

Lol, he used Frontpage to make the site.

That has to be the messiest source code I've every seen. I was going to email him, but I don't have any words to describe that site.

Well take a look at this site. Even has there large logo divided into pieces for fast loading times. Almost everything was designed with Shockwave Director. And it the intro on the second page is really neat to. And pay attention to when you go to the main page and watch ever thingslide together! Trust me this guy is good! You want a website that people will remember? than go threw this guy to get it done rite! I've seen some of his sites. the ones he has rite now aren't very good for showing off his capabilities. but there are other ones. He came over to my house and showed me all his sites. WOW! They were awsome! Tryin to learn from him some techniques. Got some helpful suggestions from him for my site. Like music. Which no one has replied to=[!!! Go to the thread that says Flah 5.0 help in the main forum. AND REPLY TO ME! My friend who owns this site is busy designing sites and doesn't have time rite now to help me out. So SOMEONE COULD JUST GO OVER TO MY THREAD AND POST THANK YOU VERY MUCH!:help: Anyways heres the web site. Webtivity (http://www.webtivity.ca/)

I would say it's boring especially for a web designer.

If you really want to see the latest and greatest web sites click here (http://www.macromedia.com/showcase/archive/)

This is an example of a extremely well done site:

http://earthtrends.wri.org/

It shows that good web design doesn't need to be especially complex, just, well thought through, and, elegant.

here's a site we put together...

Any criticisms (or praise.. lol) would be gratefully appreciated

Seems to me there's plenty of room for unique design.

he has been to busy with clients to work on his web site lately. thats why he couldn't help me out with teaching me flash.

NFSracer: Perhaps you should try Director 8.5.. It's much easier. The Lingo scripts are logical and easy to use.. And, it's more functional the Flash.

I find the webtivity site boring, and unimaginative.. It's very bland, and basic.. Using a bit of Flash to try and add some excitement.. But it doesn't work though..

Well if you think it's plain well all his 10 clients in the past 5 months that have signed up without him even advertising.... just using search engines, must be insane. His sites are awsome. i don't care what you guys think.... but ten clients in that amount of time is really good. IT'S NOT F@#% PLAIN!!!!!

I agree, it's sorta plain. Some people just don't know better when picking a web designer.

The site that DPK listed is a great example of excellent web design. It's clean, easy to navigate, and looks pretty cool as well. The animations help, but, overall their is a design consistency. The repeating curves in the background tie it all together.

Another site that would be good, is www.lamborghini.com . The style is absolutely correct, but, the menus seem very jumpy, at least on my computer.. They start to slide out, and, then, go straight back, so you can't click on anything.. Annoying.. But the musical selections on the site are very suitable.

Another example is: www.thelogofactory.com

The Logo Factory website is at the other end of the scale, and shows what happens when you over-do a webdesign.. The Logo Factory's site is too crowded, and too busy. It's hard to actually focus on one particular area. And this site has actually been updated.. Pre-update, is was absolutely chaotic.

I've always liked the Balthaser site. Their old flash intro etc was awesome. It is still a great site with the new design. Check it out:
