A good friend of mine has recently picked up a second hand delivery truck and wants to turn it into a total Bass Mobile. He wants to turn it into a competition sound system. we've been looking around for really good quality compition/SPL Subwoofers. Now here is a list of subs we are looking at.

1. JL Audio Competition Subs

2. Pheonix Gold Competition Subs

3. MTX SPL Competition Subs <-- Seriously thinking about these.

4. Solar Baracks (Spelling??) (don't know much about these)

Also need help with amps. Keep in mind, all we are looking for is how loud they will go, like the more DB's the better. Not sound quality. Money isn't really to big of an issue either so anything you find lemme know For those curious what we are going to do is strip the inside completly out, and custom build the front compartment so there isn't to much echo or sound dampering. The back is going to be seperate from the front, so ont he wall at the front most of the back end (behind the front seat) Will be lined with the MTX SPL's, probably 6-8 of them, and then the 2 side walls will be JL audio comps, probably about 15-22 of them. we are going hardcore on this thing. We want the loudest competition car on EARTH! So lemme know what you think, and give me some help on the amps to.

If what you want is LOUD, then why not just go and buy a massive stage soundsystem with bass bins, stacks and horns? I don't care what anyone has for a car stereo system, nothing is louder than a live rig! I think Pepsi had a truck with this setup on it that they put in parking lots for temporary concerts and exhibitions.

Kinda hard to explain, we want to entire subwoofer soundsystem competiotns, and the criteria isn't just loud, you need bass, and all that stuff, it is ment for subwoofers. And thats what we want even if it wasn't.

Commander, that is the coolest idea ever, but how much power do those things use, remember in most cars you only have 12V, with that you would need to tie a generator to the roof of the van or tow it behind (i know you can get inverters but it wouldnt be enough power). unless you use car amps and stage speakers etc.

Sorry mate i cant help you with your choice of subs but it is a good concept. i've always wanted to do it to a bus, because of all the storage space underneath, you can fit alot of amps, capcitors, crosovers etc. in there, then you get learjet seats (or somthing like that), it would be the perfect vehicle to go for long cruses in.

I would guess a small quiet generator could be fitted in somehow, or perhaps even the batteries used in solar powered homes. Wouldn't that just be the shit though?
