The thing u asked 4, is possible . We can change our engine sound eg : 356 can sound like GT1 . U just ve too follow the Link erix 's porsche (http://erix.nfsunlimited.net/) :HB:   8)~ :look: * 05-12-2002, 11:49 PM He's talking about NFS4, not Porsche Unleashed.. It's possible, but, very difficult.. You need good sound recordings, for starters. Dylan 05-13-2002, 12:29 AM from what i have heard from Acca its quite difficult, there is lots of different samples so you need recordings of the car in lots of different operating enviroments. K A B A 05-13-2002, 06:27 AM OOPS ... nfs4?8)~ :Puke: 05-13-2002, 06:50 AM It's most difficult to make sounds for cars like the Ferrari F355 Berlinetta, since its engine has such a great range (in terms of pitch of the sound). It's deep sounding at low revs, like most V8 engines, but, it screams like hell when you wind it up past 6000rpm, and on to 8250rpm. That makes it very difficult to simulate this sound, accurately. You have to get different samples of the engine, at different RPM levels, and different speeds (to get any gearbox noise into the sound as well..) A Diablo VT would also be very difficult to simulate in sound, since, it's gearbox is the very musical type, with a wonderful whirring sound that really complements the deep V12 roar. This all means that you have to get access to the real car, for recordings sake, and, have to be near a race track, if the car happens to be a fast one.. Be warned when making sound samples, try not to have too much wind noise.. It wrecks the recordings.. Leave windows wound up! |
