Well, almost. It needs just the driver now.

Currently, I'm doing the fun stuff now, playing around with colours.. Trying to choose combinations of colours (the Murciélago has heaps of them for the exterior, and a massive amount of different colours for the interior..)

For the exterior, I've decided on these colours:
01. Arancio Ishtar (bright metallic Orange - awesome colour)
02. Grigio Antares (Titanium silver metallic - nice colour too)
03. Grigio Iris (Lilac gold metallic colour)
04. Blu Ely (medium blue colour, very nice)
05. Blu Hera (nice deep blue colour)
06. Nero Pegaso (Pearl black metallic colour, stunning)
07. Verde Hydra (Deep, dark green, not as dark as British Race. Green)
08. Viola Ophelia (Remember this from the SE30 Diablo!! WOW.)
09. Giallo Orion (Bright pearl metallic yellow colour).
10. Rosso Andromeda (not sure if I'll include this one) it's a very bright red).

For the Interior:
01. Nero perseus / Arancio Mira
02. Grigio Sirius / Grigio Phoenix
03. Nero perseus / Nero perseus
04. Beige Myron / Beige Myron
05. Blue Delhpinus / Avorio Lilium
06. Nero perseus / Beige Myron
07. Verde Sagitta / Beige Myron
08. Viola Iridum / Avorio Lilium
09. Nero perseus / Giallo Taurus
10. Rosso Centaurus / Beige Myron (only for inclusion if the Rosso Andromeda colour is included).

NOTE: For the interior colours, the first part is for the peripheral parts of the seats, and the second part is for the centre of the seats, the carpet, and the door trim inserts.

See http://www.lambocars.com/framed/paintmur.htm for colour swatches corresponding to what I've posted below.. If you want to try coming up with some different combinations, go ahead..

See the attachments in this and the following posts. Hope you like it. This is by far my best work, so far, now that I see it in game, with reflection maps sorted out (for all cars), and, on a nice track too (Angel Lake - an awesome circuit.)

Congrats, chris. -^
I agree that playing around with the colours is fun, I create my onw for NFS4 cars half the time. I notice you left out that retina-schorching shade of lime green. :p
With the driver not in place, I suddenly paid a lot more attention to the interior, I guess i overlooked that on many other cars.

Remko: Yes, I'm no fan of those flouro lime green colours.. The Holden Monaro CV6 and CV8 have a version of it too, and it looks absolutely disgusting..

But, I put a great deal of effort into the interior of this car.. Also, you don't notice it in this picture, but, their is the auto-spoiler at the back of this car, too. Very well disguised with accurate modelling..

WOAH, got to go, Ferrari mechanics in the pit lane @ the A1 Ring in Austria..

I've done some more work to this Murciélago as well. I've fixed some bits on it that I seemed to have forgotten to texture, and, also added the missing Lamborghini badge on the front of it.

Now, I just have a few other problems to deal with (some German bugger using my Audi TT mesh on his own online 3D portfolio site, what an idiot, blatant plaguerism and copyright violation..)

Half the other stuff on his site is not by him anyhow.. Most of it is from other 3d artists (like Manutius' BMW M5), a Corvette by another nfs-editor, and the icon for the objects link is the Apollo module that comes on the 3DSMax tutorial CD.. He's just rendered someone elses work.. In most cases he doesn't give any credit either, which is why I'm so pissed off about it..

See the site, here:

You're saying that the Audi TT he is using is actually your model, and he never contacted you about it? Jeezis.
the yellow Corvette was done by Fivespeed, that I know.

Have you contacted him about it?

05-13-2002, 06:02 AM
Remko: Yeah, that's right.. He never contacted me.. I've contacted him about it.. If it isn't resolved, then I take it to court, and have it resolved that way. We'll see what happens..

If you look at my Audi TT mesh, you'll note that the wireframe is **exactly** the same! I don't take kindly to conversions of my meshes to other games, but, I absolutely OBJECT to my meshes being stolen for use in another persons Online design portfolio! (That they would presumably show an employer). That is straight out plageurism, and, a violation of the copyright I hold on that 3d mesh.

Well, I have a reply from the idiot on the German site..

He claims this:

"Hallo,

I don’t remove this picture, because i have create this car with tatauetata from MM2 Board!! And we have the right to convert this car! You are not alone, who creat this car. Many have create others!! I have made the textures of this car, and tatuetata have pick different tt’s to this car. We have from all the right to convert!!! We don’t have use your car, because 1: your tex was to bad, and your model – bad, too!! Sorry, so i don’t remove this picture from my site!!!! It’s my and tatuetatas’ car!!

Steffen"

Just check the wireframes of the two cars, and, you'll see, they are exactly the same.. See the attached image in the next reply.

These fowl stealers... they have no respect for one's work. It's driving me mad, making me look them rip the NFS community appart, disencouraging all the mesh authors to proceed and I don't see a fair and definitive solution to the latter stealing we've been seeing in these last few months. But it's in times like these that we must stick together! Only the strong resist! We'll find a way to battle this problem (I know it's hard, we don't have to deal with MM2 or 4x4EVO stealers alone, we have some inside our own NFS quarters) and we shall prevail and rise victorious, but for that, we must resist the temptation of quitting. Please CPD, it was harsh loosing you once, don't make us all bare another loss, especially after such a brief return. Stay with us, man! You're position in the NFS community is unreplaceable.
