Frame Rate in PU....

ok, well i decided to try out "fraps" from www.fraps.com


and been watching some of my replays, in same view, to compare the frame rates from each track... they seem really low

to me, the replays were the smoothest they ever are.. no dials of rpm and speed, which may further slow it down, and when I go online the connection makes my frame rate drop half usually..

so i'm running at 1024*768.. and these are some of the "average" rates I get.. peaks are worse and better on some..

Cote: 24
MCs: 22
Schwaz: 12
Normandie: 14
Pyrenees: 30 (the best!)

and then on tracks like on SChwz.. at certain points, drops down to 7/8 frames a sec.. slow is it?

:eek: Warren,how can you race with framerates like that?Anything under 30fps is too jittery for me.I notice a lot of people run PU at 800x600 to get those extra fps;Warren have you tried that resolution?The picture quality isn't that much worse than 1024x768. I'll check mine today, on, and offline and see what i get.

schw drops too 32 in forest, the rest is around 55
the oter tracks are around 55
online with full grid drops it about 5 fps
I run in 1280x960
all graphic options off and distance full

Kaba, high frame rates are better, they make for a smoother and more accurate (in terms of track position) experience.
