It says moved because I moved it to the editors forum, it should get more quality attention here. :) Sorry I don't have a clue about the programs and XP. Is there some sort of compatibility mode you can run them in to get them to work?

Ok well having tried NFS Wizard on XP, you can install it, and run it once. Once youquit it you won't be able to run it again, but just install it againa nd it will work.

I haven't yet tried anything else, I've got Z-Modelr sitting in ym downloads folder for e to try but don't have the time, Car Cad, well from what I remember of my Win 2K days Car Cad did run so long as you had the VB6 runtimes installed it would run, but the car mesh you were woking on would be solid white. I have a feeling that you'll get the same results in XP as wit Win 2K.

One more reason (on top of several hundred already) why i'm not going to upgrade to XP....

I'm not 100% sure this would work with two versions of Windows, but he might try partioning the harddrive and installing Win98 on the second partion, then use a multiple OS program to switch between the two. That's what i'm doing with Win98 and Linux.

I've got 2 hard drives, a 40 gig drive which I partitioned into 2 20 gig partions, and my 20 gig hard drive which has become my drive for all my downlaods work and mp3's.

On the 20 gig driv I've got a fully working Win 98 SE configuartion shoukd I need to use it at any time, but 99.9% of the time I'm using Windows XP as my primary operating system, I'm not actually running a dual boot configuration in the coventional sense. If I need 98 SE then I just shut down, unplug my 40 gig drive and hook the 20 gig drive back up as the master drive. I haven't used Win 98 since the end of November.

And Linux, ahh someone who knows about it, Justin when you see me on ICQnext I'd like to talk to you about Linux, as it stand I have a totally empty 20 gig partiton on my 40 gig drive and was thikning about putting Linux on it as I have a copy of Definte Linux 7 sitting round here doing nothing.

The only solution is to use multiple OS? There's no other programs out there that would work? Or not even a patch? Or does anyone know if a patch for this will ever come out or somthin?:'(

Now ive only read the magazine review in APC (Australian Personal Computer), and XP should have a previous windows emulation mode. you can set it (maybe in its shortcut) how XP should treat the program. It can even be set to 'Lie' to the program and return that it is win95. I suggest you read the 'help' files on this.

this topic has been discussed quite a lot now and even though i posted several times how to make nfs wizard work with windows xp/windows 2000 ppl go walk the forums and say its impossible. actually its easy to make it work. just click the link above and read what i said in this thread it kinda includes a whole tutorial to make it work. even though it would probably better if some big nfs website would make a real tutorial out of it and upload it. because it seems as if the developer of nfs wizard cant fix the bug since he lost some of the source code.

and now please read how it is done and spread the word.
