View Full Version : Mercedes 300SL In Game NFS Bolide 05-04-2002, 01:40 AM No texture and no dash. They always have to be textured, have "high chrome" enabled, and, a form of lightly blue tinted greyscale gradient mapped to them.. I know this after the Citroën DS21 project, the only old (1965) car I've modelled. I still have the Citroën mesh, and textures. Compared to this Mercedes, they are very low detail. PortuguesePilot 05-04-2002, 08:38 AM It's looking very sharp already. It still misses some stuff, like the mercedes brand in the back and front, but these are just the first shots of the car in game. Now that I've come so close at having a top-noch 300SL, I kinda feel the rug being pulled out under my feet. I'm starting to guess that if I want this car, I will have to perfect my ZModeler skills (it will take a very llllllllloooooooooonnnnnnnggggggggg time) and make one myself. PortuguesePilot 05-15-2002, 09:03 AM being that busy at work is a good thing, I think! :) NFS Bolide, this kind of feedback was all i needed to rest asured for some more weeks. I now stand safe enough to say: "take the time you need, there is no rush." The Mercedes is absolutly divine, the dashboard is a piece of art (you are the best dashboard maker in the world, no doubt) and I can almost feel the taste of this baby rolling in my tracks. you guys will have to forgive me on this one, i know my behavior is being kinda childish with this mercedes, but this is the only car i ever wanted! plus, I am such a square most of the times, so let me explode in awe and fury at least once in a while! It seems that all it needs are the front and back textures and the back mercedes logo. Can't wait to have it in my hands! P.S. - Is it me Butch, or is the Mercedes logo in the steering wheel upside down? On some tracks, it's almost like looking at disco lighting effects, with the flashing/rotating reflections, but, otherwise, the best 300SL out their, by far.. I haven't seen many NFS vehicles which have exterior reflections as good as this. BTW, any body thinking of downloading this car should turn on the Anti-Aliasing feature on their video cards (if they have it). It really allows you to view the fine details of this car much better. Also, is anyone else thinking that this 300SL Gullwing needs a 300SL Cabriolet to go along with it...
