I want to thank you all for the praise... but I think I'm going to scrap this mesh and start over...

yep, I'm afraid so... I guess what I tried to do was model way to much in the body mesh... I say this because I tried to model the rear and I just cant get it match up... Also if you look at the front grill, it looks mangled...

Of course maybe I'm being hard on myself... But I'm getting a Hot Cars Folder of a '71 RR and it has top, front, back, and side views of the car all in the same proportion... the images I'm using to trace now are not all the right size - they're close, but they just don't fit correctly....

The way I'll attack the new mesh is by modeling the front and rear bumpers seperately, then fuse them together (Is this a good idea?) with the body... and the new "blueprints" will make it easier to fit them all together, I hope...

Incidentally, did you guys see the '71 GTX made for MM1 by Ironchair? It's a beauty! I would love to convert it, but need permission, and a clue how to export all the MM1 car files ala viv wizard...

well, it sure won't lag the system to have a few more poly's on the side. (so you don't have a big point sticking out, and if you use car cad, you can do two diff parts and fuse, i don't use zmod, so i don't know how to do much except import a fce and look at the 3d mesh :) )

hehe... that's funny... I can get around in Zmodeler pretty well, but wouldn't have the foggiest clue how to use CarCAD

(mostly because the damn program crashed every five minutes on me so I got sick of trying to learn it)

I reduce the poly count originaly because the blueprints I had didn't match evenly, so it was very hard bend and model lots of them
