I've had FSX for a while, but just got a new video card to replace one that was failing and tried out FSX again.

One of the issues I can't figure out is how to setup a flight plan from airport to airport where the destination ends in in the approach path for a runway as opposed to directly at the air port. How do I do this?

For FS98, I created a small dialog app that calculated the heading for a constant heading path between two points on the earth (a constant heading path is a spiral instead of a circle), and generated a table of headings to use between major airports that would put a plane into the approach path of the destination airport, and now I'm trying to figure out how to do the same in game with FSX.

The other issue is that I couldn't find ILS frequencies in FSX, although I did make a list of these from FS98. FSX also seems to have more trouble following the ILS (at least with the 747).

Hi Jeff, I'm not that experienced in flightplans and such (yet) but if you'll hang around then I think Chris most definately can tell you everything about that since he's a super-experienced virtual pilot

Speaking of Concordes and flight plans then maybe this cute little sim would be something :D
