Just starting a list of gamertags/PC ID's for what everyone races under online! While I'm waiting for the game still here's what I expect I'll be under when it comes, mostly be on PC as I only play 360 at my brothers right now, might be doing more online with the 360 after christmas though.

Mine will probably be RadAL_666 or Radical-AL_666 or something like that.
I haven't bothered to try to go online yet... I just finished battlemachine and I'm on react now. I have 3 cars and about to buy a 4th (for speed)... actually I "won" 2. The 3 cars I have are a Nissan 240SX (s13) for Grip, 1969 Dodge Charger R/T for Drag and Nissan Silvia S15 for Drift. The Charger is a beast, I got it to 857 HP at the moment. I think my speed car wil be a 1965 GTO... or the Dodge Challenger.
Someone should make a Shared Race Series for the RP folks.... that would be fun.

I'm not 100% sure how it works, but whatever your name is when it shows up online with the PC.

I'm under DCMattius. I have 3 cars like Al, but I got a Cobalt for Drag and RX8 for drifting. I did Drifting for the 1st time last night, it's pretty hard, but pretty fun. I think I'll like that. It was in Carbon, but I played Carbon on a keyboard. I'm using my MS Sidewinder right now, but the Logitech showed up yesterday. So far the computer has been pretty easy to beat. I almost lapped a car during one of the races with my 240SX..lol I don't have one of the needed cars...the one that you race on the highway with. I tried that somehow with something and kept totalling my car and used up all of my un-total-your-car tokens, so I'm staying away from that for a while. Now that I think of it, I think I won a 350Z during that event where you can race either 350Zs or GTIs. I like the way the 350Z was kind of tail happy. I still use my 240SX though, it has better upgrades.
I'de like to get in on some race days. So far the online part has not thrilled me. I don't know if it's because the community is not very large yet, it doesn't work very well, or I don't know what I'm doing (probable). Maybe everyone is working on the career mode.

Heh, I have 9 now, but really, I have 4 (the others are bonuses I've won) Aside from really highspeed (ovals) courses, the 240SX is my favorite grip car... awesome handling and good acceleration BUT I hate the fact you can't get nos with it :S

I've finished the game. I still like the STI as my speed car. I switch off from the 240SX and the Zonda for my grip car depending on the track. My drag cars are my Supra for speed and my GT500 for wheelies. I was in a drag race and this guy had a Zonda. He got a 6.05 in the Zonda. I was only getting in the mid 6s with my Supra. I tried using the Zonda in Drag, but couldn't get very quick with just stock tuning/max upgrades. Maybe it's in the tuning. I have gotten a 9.98 in the Supra for the 1/2 mile. For drift, I've been using the RX8. Drifting is very different from the other types of races because the variance is huge. I usually beat everyone I've been racing, but sometimes by just a little and sometimes it's a blow away. It seems like drifting is mostly skill since I hear people using all different types of cars.
What I've learned with drifting:
The faster you take a corner, the higher the score you get
If you go off road all the way, you stop accumulating points
You mostly just keep the gas pedal to the floor unless some tight corners are coming up (rarely)
If you want to take a corner tighter, use the handbreak a little more or straighten the wheels/turn into the corner (normally you're steering away from the corner when sliding)
If you want to take a corner looser (straighter), let off the gas a little/apply the breaks a little
If you want to change directions of the slide (like in an S turn), let off the gas and apply the breaks to straighten the car out, then hit the hand break to start the new slide and turn away from the corner.
It doesn't take a perfect drift to get a good score. Speed is really the hidden key to getting a high score. In my RX8, I want to get to 3rd before starting a drift. I also like to hit the nitrous on the last corner...:)

FYI, I'm playing mostly on Xbox360 right now, just finishing up career mode atm. I'm trying to get an official raceday setup for later this week right now too.
