Racedays

So who has the game and has experimented with asynchronous racedays? I'm still waiting on my copy and supposedly EA will have a web based admin setup for us Orgs to help administer and run custom racedays directly run by the orgs. Anyone feel free to setup a practice raceday and promote nitrocide with it!

I haven't figured out whether you can name racedays. They seem to be given a name based on the person who makes it. I'm also not sure about the asynchronous vs. synchronous. It doesn't say either of those names in the game. From what I see, you can click on Quick Race and then join either a ranked game or an unranked game. The other way is to click on RaceDay, this pulls up a kind of map with the different tracks (about 20). You can click on any of these tracks and create a solo raceday. You can also click on multiplayer, but I've never gotten that to work...it says looking for players indefinately. All the way on the left of the map are the 5 racedays you have stored. These could be ones you've created or ones people have sent you. You can play or delete those also. Clicking on a blank (of the 5) lets you create a raceday.

ye thats because the serves were down , now they are up and running, i just want 8 online users to race on nevada, how hard can it be ? hit me up n let me know whats happning with these race days

I'm going to try and setup an official raceday for Nitrocide here in the next week, I'd like to figure out how to grab the results for it first, but I might not wait that long.

I see: downloading... and the game crash...
I tryed other RD and is all okay
I use the first patch.

hmmm - anyone else have these issues? I'm going to test it out myself tonight. I'm not sure why you're having issues, EA was supposed to have tested out the raceday and made sure it works before pushing it live.

im gettin' the same thing as Bincsbr.

It goes to downloading then crashes

Ok it's been setup at another track, there's obviously some issues with Nevada right now, though it's a shame since that's one of the better speed challenge areas.

Check it out and let me know how things work out. Also, let me know if you have any ideas for future racedays.

patch version: 1.1
try it many times.. no sucess
replace nfs.exe (no dvd) by the original).. crashes again..

no that won't have any effect on it. Something is wrong in general, either we got 2 bad races in a row or something is messed up with EA's system. I know a few of the races don't work in racedays for some reason, but I'm not sure which ones. I'm working with EA on it and we'll have to reschedule for next week probably. :(
