Seems my wheel has finally decided to crap out on me,Randomly wants to turn on its own,gas pedal quits and all sorts of other bad things. So I'll be offline on MW till I can get me a new one.Money is just not there right at the moment for a new wheel.Got my step daughter and her family livin with me as there house had some major electrical problems(almost a fire hazard) so money got really tight all of a sudden.
I'll stay abreast of the things going on here though.....

Sounds like the rheostat in the throttle pedal is shot, but it can be replaced at little cost. When you say the wheel turns on it's own, do you mean the force feedback actually grabs the wheel and makes the unit actually turn? Or perhaps you mean that the wheel stays still but the car on the screen starts to turn? ANyway, I am certain that your wheel can be repaired at a minimal cost. I would check into it before buying a new one.
My thoughts anyway.

I'm gonna take it apart in a day or so and see what makes it tick.As far as the turn on its own,it does exactly that. But only turns left when it does it.Doesnt matter if im going straight,or turning in either direction,it just goes left....at times....

the pedal problem i cant explain, but Commander may well be right, but the wheel turning thing; mine does that all the time, it seems to have a mind of its own, and i assumed that was normal, is it worse than usual in urs or what?

Ok, here are some steps to try and troubleshoot it. First, upgrade/reinstall the drivers. Also, poke around at the settings, try adjusting FF levels, and try activating or deactivating the centering spring setting. As for the rheostat in the pedal, take it out and shoot some compressed air into it, followed by a squirt of WD40. Work the lube into the rheostat by turning it back and forth several times. That might clean up the rheostat enough to restore its functionality.
After all this, if the wheel still doesn't work, follow these steps: (1) Go outside to tool shed and retrieve sledge hammer. (2) return to wheel and bring sledge hammer down on wheel several times until wheel has a genuine reason to malfunction. ;)

The turn problem is just that.I'll be going in any direction and all of a sudden the car will turn a hard left, the wheel stays normal. Its not a FFB problem. And untill I get the car to a complete stop,I cannot recover.
Similar problem with the gas pedal,I'll be humming along at say 150MPH and all of a sudden its like I put on the brake. Then I have to tap the throttle several times and it will go again.
I've dumped the drivers and reloaded and still the same.
I'm starting to think this problem is related to my video card problem and the "southbridge" chipset on my motherboard.Running AMD 7xx chipset on my Dual Athlon MOBO and there seem to be some issues with that chipset and certain hardware,as there is no more support for these chipsets.
But then these problems only seem to happen in MW.
I play several other driving games and it works fine.
Downtown Run comes to mind.

Well took the pedals apart last night and cleaned out all the "cat" hair that was wrapped around the the pivot pins on both pedals.Blew some air around, reassembled and low and behold I can drive again.
Not sure how the pedals affected my steering unless it was the "brake" that was causing me to turn violently left at times, but both problems are gone for now.
Started a new game last nite and ran to blacklist 13 glitchfree.Including a 55:58:55 run from the cops that ended with them finally pinning me into a corner with no hope of escape.....
Man I love that Bus Station, thats usually where I do most of my "play" with the coppers...

The rheostat is probably fine, but it needs to be fixed in place better. After a while, during use, it gets loose and you start getting problems with throttle range.. But I can't explain the other problems since this is the only problem I had with the black Momo..

Well now, ever since fixing my wheel the game is a whole new thing.
I am able to "control" the cars like never before.Possible this thing was bad right out of the box.
