Ground Environment 2006 just released. This is a texture pack. It would appear for maximum impact, you'd need to install a better land-mesh as well.

Hi,

Note: The screenshots previewed on this site show the new Ground Environment textures. They were taken along side other non-texture add-ons that were installed, including enhanced terrain mesh, as well as Ultimate Terrain (enhancing the landclass as well as other visual features). Flight Environment was used for the sky and clouds.
Maybe Ground Environment would be a great addition to FS Global 2005 SE?

I wish Flight1 could have provided screenshots of a clean install of FS - it distorts the true impact of the product on the landscape. Additional remarks removed my me. I'm very tempted to get this, but need to see more of less, first. :)

Best regards,
Robin.

That looks nice, but what's with all the crop circles, and are those houses you see in some screenshots default? I don't remember seeing rows of houses like that in FS before.

I agree with that. I'm tempted to get this, but I fear it wouldn't make much of a difference without some better terrain mesh for the entire world.

Hi Chris,

I've been looking at this again - I suspect this is about as good as it gets without additional mesh: http://environments.flight1.net/europe/2006-02-07_121952_GE_Scotland_5.jpg

I'd like to see mountains without additional mesh first though. I think this might be a good companion scenery with FS Global (global mesh).

Best regards,
Robin.

Here is a set of screenshots for you to look at:

I think I'll be leaving this one on the shelf.

Best regards,
Robin.

I think I agree with you. This one isn't for me either.

It might be worth it with significantly improved ground mesh, but then the performance would deteriorate by some margin.
