the fastest car

I tested some of the cars that i think are candidates to be the fastest car today, and heres the speeds i got in them:

1)Lamborghini Murceilago(how the hell do u spell that??!!): 397km/h (holy cow!!!)

2)Ford GT40: 390km/h

3)Porsche Carrera GT: 388km/h

4)McLaren Mercedes SLR: 383km/h

-->all these cars had full utimates and junkman upgrades installed
-->i made vids, but dont kno how to upload them :(, but ill try to get screenies
EDIT: --> to get these speeds in mph, divide by 1.6 ( cos 1 mile = 1600m)

please feel free to suggest any other car(s) that might go faster than any of these, or test them urself and see how they compare :cool:

Country Club and the Rockport motorway track, whatever its called
on country club ive got vids of them all if u wanna see the exact stretch that i use, but i didnt bother make vids on the other 1

The controller im using is the Logitech MOMO force feedback Steering wheel (+ manual gears and hood view :) )
for anyone that doesnt use this, i cant recommend it highly enuff, its WAY better than every other steering wheel ive tried, and it makes the game far more fun

i was doin a race in my career Carrera GT earlier, which has all junkmans except NOS ( i never got that 1 :( ), and when i checked the max speed i had went, it showed this:

i had posted the CGT's top speed as 388 with full junkman's, but without junkman NOS, it does that 1 extra Km/h somehow..

A friend of mine and I have been using a Fiat Punto during the Blacklist on the XboX and tuned it with custom parts as well.

We just took it for a ride on the freeway and hit 380kph. All 3 performance bars are full.

this is the kind of thing that makes me hate EA; rubbish like performance balance. a fiat punto cudnt do 380 unless it was chucked off a cliff in my book, i think its ridiculus that a fiat (and a punto of all cars) can rival a McClaren SLR's performance, none the less, nice speed :)

Yeah, and it still surprises me how the catch up works. I was racing on top speed with the Punto (381kph this time) and Ronnie in his DB9 crashed, but in a matter of half a lap he managed to get right behind me. In the overall result I noticed that both his top speed and his average speed were way lower than mine.

i was playin some of my old racing games (Eg> race driver 2, Toca touring cars,etc) a while back, and the thing i just loved about it was that if u get a lead, as long as u dont f**k up, u will b able to maintain this lead,

but none of that in MW, wat with the bloody catch up :( , if only EA were able to make an AI that increases in skill as the difficulty level increases, rather than just havin excessive catch up

I don't recall any "cath up " in PU at all. Even at beginner stage, once I got the hang of controlling the cars, I could beat up the AI at will. When I got to expert, It wasn't as easy, but I can still do it. The closest thing to catch up is during the evolution mode. You can beat the AI with ease in stock trim on the classic era, but once you hit golden era, the AI starts using parts and some tuning to make you do the same, that's when you find them passing you on starts, but you can usually catch up and pass them all. If you do get a big lead, they don't come flying up behind you, (unless you really screw up &( ) and vice versa.

It's got 7 gears, the SLR hasn't.. And if I'm not mistaken, er, the SLR in NFSMW has 6 gears, where the real one only has 5.. :confused:

I've got the Corvette C6.R now. It is quite useful, and better in top speed than the M3 GTR.

The standard M3 GTR (Street version) is fairly slow. And the SL65 AMG, while fairly quick once it gets going spends all of its time trying to burn up its rear tyres. It has very, very bad wheelspin problems.
