Eh, moving sucks. :( Especially in the winter. But have a good move anyways, and enjoy your new house :)

Hi, net is operative here in the new home.
When it stops snowing I will go out to buy some furnitures to build a new table for the cockpit, now I just testing that net is up and at home to eat dinner and checking the snow-radar www.met.no/radar .
About 45 cm snow last days so I'm getting in shape here now :-))
And I have had alot of snowdriving fun during the last days of course, yeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw :-)
Take care

Wow, good going with the new home!
That's just magnificent, Mads, congratulations. Sounds like it's time to break out the skis or snowboard :D with all the snow you're having. Got a warm, cozy fireplace you can curl up by and have a few  remember good times past and great times to come?

Thank's for those nice words dear Cheyenne!
Heeeeeeeeeeeeelp, I can't get a right working IP-adress using my gaming-pc, HUH!
Neither of the NIC's would work ok they both found wrong ip's.
Well, this is just awesome nice about my new home, all whitewares (or shall I say chromewares :-)) is angled and mounted, working perfect.
Today I finally got the stove oven burned in so I can start use it tomorrow, also I did order the final furniture for the livingroom, a tv/cinema/storage section of oak, made in denmark.
Now I start see the whole picture of this flat, the kitchen-part is done now, and it's gasping cool IMO (as many of you know I do love to cook nice dinners) so I have saved hard last 3 years to get this part perfect.
My new oven and fridge is made in Slovenia, brand is Gorenje :-) , the oven is induction.. (electro-magnetism) so I have to swap some of my old caserolls to iron-bottoms..
The dishwasher is WONDERSCHÖN, it's a toprange Miele :-) (made to last at least 20 years without services, this is a firm-policy to save our environment..), I can barely hear it pumps the water it works at 44db top noice...
Finally I bought my first thumble dryer, all whitewares is class AAA.
For all the whitewares I managed to get a 30% bargain deal :-O and for the dining table included 4 chairs ( all oak) I got a 60% off deal :-O
For the cockpit I found a set of table-base in steel (T-legs) at IKEA, with telescope adjustings legs so I can use it both for driving and typing :-)) just need to cut and fit my old deskplate.
Now my Fiat is parked in a dry and warm space in the basement, my private parking, yeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :-)
And today I bought a digital weather station meteometer, among lotsa other tiny gadgets.
Still there is some details needed to make the flat total, I have to wait with some stuff to see how to make it clean looking, also my wallet needs a break now :-)
I feel so lucky and happy!
I heard it came 68 cm snow in NYC, I do work partly as a snowcleaner here in Oslo, and I'm in the handmoving team cleaning stairs and stuff tghe machines cvan't do, that's why I haven't been much around online lately (45 cm here last week), so I have been pretty toasted last days.
EDIT: I almost forgot, if it wasn't for NO-Good and NO-Ulie and mr.Ketil, I would have been in BIG TROUBBLES regarding moving out and down the 5 stairs with 70 cm width at Vålerenga, so BIG THANK'S TO YOU MY FRIENDS!
Soon inviting for a fest dinner to your honour!
Feeling very good now, waiting for more snow tomorrow, I hope you all are doing fine!

My guess is you are not really getting any IP because there is no connection, but Windows randomly gives the nic one in the 196.154.x.x domain. (i think that was the address range)
It's great that you seem happy with the new place. :)

Hi Chaul, yes I'm gettin a 196 (256.256.0.0) and neither of the nics can get new ip, well I am using the same tp cable as from this pc and I haven't a clue about what I have to enable at my gamer-pc to meke it get a IP, both these pc's used to work trough a hw-router but now I wait for a new router so I tried direcdt to modem, only this hag of a laptop is working..

oops.. 196.254.x.x sounds more correct on second thought.. anyways. It's an internal address range (read LAN) that does not show to the outside network (internet). And another guess I'll have to make is that your old hw-router had a DHCP server/proxy enabled (and NAT) and you got a "working" IP address from there.
I can't really tell with this information what you would have to do to fix it. You need the address for the ISP's DNS and/or DHCP servers. You could also have a fixed IP but I wouldn't know.. You should make sure what the correct subnet mask is.. possibly 255.255.0.0 or 255.255.255.0. But this probably depends on the setup.. bridged/routed. I'm not a pro and I stayed up all night, lol..

Hehe, I was also abit overtired it seems, 254.254.0.0 was the wrong IP i got, now it all works great after adding a HW firewall/router :-) , the gaming pc is back online.
And I mounted the topdesk onto the telescope baselegs.
I also installed teamspeak, so for those who read this using TS wanting me to join the server you use, please send me a PM or like so I can join the right servers..
Now snowing heavy again here so I have to go out clean some of it up to make it possible for people to be mobile tomorrow :-)
Take care all!
