I've just spent 5 weeks without my camera, and I can tell you that felt like an eternity!
The shutter broke at 64,500 shots, and was repaired under warranty.
Canon claim the 20D should do 100,000 shots, so I fell somewhat short.
I may get a 1-series professional body in the coming years, and they have a span of 250,000 shots.
Anyway, here's the first couple of shots I took with my repaired camera. So glad to have it back

Nice pics.
How did you get the effect of the blurred motion of the water? Did you capture it in the shot, or did you accent it in photoshop?

Nice pictures indeed.
I have seen that haze-effect before in shots with long exposure. Never managed to reproduce it myself though..

You need to make the shutter speed a whole lot longer.
www.warrenwilliams.co.nz for a whole load more! :p
Shutter speeds of maybe 1/2 second or more, and even up to 6 seconds can work really well for water.

Thanks Tony. :)
Got some beauties the past few days, with some nice summer weather finally. It's been hitting 27-30*C here, which is VERY hot for Auckland. Usually 25-27, and the humidity has been sky high. I've had a few Australians recently come into my work who know of their own local 45*C heat, but said this 30*C humid heat was just as unbearable.
These pictures are very nice, especially the water.

but again, to catch correct lighting, you need to adjust aperture and sensitivity acordingly. So, don't expect to be able to take shots like that with Point and shot camera. ;)
