hi, i was wondering if i can get help here, cuz i couldnt find it anywhere else,
i just installed NFS-MW on my laptop, i am running a 128mb ATI, and i have to run the game on low graphic settings, which is really crappy, it starts to lag if i run it at max, can someone please help me fix this problem if possible, or what combination of settings would work the best for me , thank you for you time,

If you want to run at a higher setting try lowering the resolution, odds are you wont' be able to run it on high, but you can probably get a medium or some sort of custom setting out of it. First thing get it running smooth, then see what you can do about turning things up.

AND.....
Be sure to have all unnecessary background programs turned off or temporarily disabled.
You didn't post your system specifications, but this game takes a lot more "umph" than that of UG2 (darnit!).
Good luck! :)

U might probably be running WINDOWS XP. Try 2 create multiple HARDWARE PROFILES in Xp or have a Dual Xp Install. In one set adjust all the startup programs n services 4 normal usage. And in other one adjust everythin 4 best performance by disabling almost all of the unnecessary services(Take care while doin so bcoz one necessary wrong service disabled may cause the system not to start).
Since u r using a laptop ur display will be at a fixed res. only n if u lower ur display res. eventually ur display screen size ll be reduced which is the problem while playing HIGH-END games. So try 2 keep ur game res. at the res. best suited 4 ur laptop display.
Then turn off FSAA n Texture Filtering completely in VIDEO OPTIONS in the game. Also try other combinations 4 the rest. Keeping VISUAL TREATMENT on LOW or OFF may improve performance too but ur display quality ll be bad. So choose the one which s best suitable without any glitches.
Contact me on YM if u want tips on optimizing Xp

It just runs crappy on an ATi 128MB. When my 6600 GT decided to die, I used my old ATi Radeon 9800 SE 128MB until I got a new 6600 GT. I ran it on 800x600, everything on low/off. Only then it will run smoothly.

Ya i have a brand new Geforce 6200 128 MB. It runs well on 800x600 with almost all settings on high except two FSAA n Texture Filtering. On normal CRT Displays u wont c much of a difference while running on 800x600 r 1024x768. But on a laptop ur screen size ll get reduced n so it ll be a problem

Definitely more RAM will lubricate the system esp. for laptops. Go ahead n tell abt any change u notice.
