Ah, it seems my good friends up here at EA Canada captured far more of the general intelligence of the law enforcement personnel in their AI then they could have possibly imagined...

Even the Federal Authorities are, shall we say, height challenged?

An extremely easy way to rack up a monsterous bounty. Assuming the game doesn't crash, it could go on forever. Only twice in the 30 mins I waited did a cruiser manage to make it up on the stairs and on the roof but it managed to fall off before it got close enough to arrest me.

I watched for about 30 mins, possibly 45 mins, it's a bit hard to tell. I was nearly wetting myself laughing at the stupidity of the AI's pathfinding. See that fellow in the upper right on the second shot? He kept reversing a few meters then speeding back into the parked trailers for the entire time I was there.

After watching them smash, flip, drive on each other and generally wreck their cars and the cars of their fellow officers for about half an hour, (including the vaunted Sergeant Cross who managed to write off his car in the process) I grew bored (somewhat) and decided to end the chase. Naturally, I got busted pretty fast but I did have a nice 3.9 million bounty before they got me.:(

This would definately make a good FRAPs video but I didn't have it open at the type, sadly. Oh, well. Something to do later perhaps. Funny as hell though watching all the cops go apeshit below you and the chopper just float there looking at you. ^_^

Hehe - there's the bus station where you can do that as well. :) I don't think that the AI was written with those situations in mind. lol

I never got the idea, I actually discovered it doing one of the challenge events. I creamed that pillar under the roof, and for some reason it teleported me on top. I didn't even think there was a place to get up there in the first place till I explored later. :)

I once saw a bug for a second... if you get caught at a road block and there are no trailing cops... you can't get busted, even if it says you did, you get off lol. Another one, I was going fast with the helicopter chasing me and when the helicopter flew over a big rig, the trailer went like 20 feet up in the air heh.

is that challenge 40? its hard going over 8 minutes going full speed around the highway busting through (or dodging) roadblocks lol i should just try that heh.

lol one of the cars did something odd, when it crashed JUST BELOW the terminal, it magically flew up through the roof and ended up beside me and knocked my car so it had 2 wheels off the edge... ^_^

I used to do that the first time i played the demo.
Only thing is that in the demo it aws possible to evade the cops when you are on that "roof" or on the busses(at the bes station)

I used the top of the busses for challenge 68 (30 minute minimum pursuit). Here's a highlight video of this challege:

how do you beat challenge 62... its so hard with the cops slowing me down (and sometimes traffic)...

how do you beat challenge 62... its so hard with the cops slowing me down (and sometimes traffic)...Don't forget to use the speedbreaker. It's almost required for some of the last few toll booths run.

The speedbreaker not only puts the game into slow motion, it also increases weight (other cars don't slow you down as much), increase grip and steering (you can take turns at a higher speed and dodge other cars better).

Ehh - I've not found the speedbreaker to be a ton of use outside of roadblocks, maybe it's just my keyboard steering, but I can go faster with a properly setup turn most of the time. I'd definately use it to dodge things if you need to. Some of the tollbooths get tough for sure, took my 6+ tries on a couple of them.

Don't rely on the speedbreaker but if you use it wisely it can be an asset.

its not that, its like when more than 2 cops get in front of you and stop and thus causing you to slow down. I got the first 4 toll booths down... but after that, the cops get really annoying and then traffic sometimes is in the way.

All I can say is use NOS on those occasions, the extra boost of accelleration will usually let you squirt past some of the leading cops. And hope you get lucky with the traffic. heh..

Challenge 43 video showing useage of speedbreaker. Near the end of the
run, I make a 90 degree left turn at the last moment using speedbreaker,
it looked like it would be impossible to make before I hit the speedbreaker.

yea, i have to save nos... cause it takes a while to go back up again and some parts your not doing more than 130 mph.

beat them all, on 68 (or the last on for me, since i did 69 in the first 10 ones) ;) and cross is just sitting there with me on top of the buss thing lol
