how can you find your save game file in the nfs:mw files? like so i don't have to start over, so i can resume at a later date?

My Documents\NFS Most Wanted

There's a folder with your alias in there, which contains the savegame file. Good luck.

That's right, but we already had such a question over here (http://www.racerplanet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14014). ;)

its because i'm getting a new computer... and it would make things easier to just save the save file on a floppy disk for the game (did it all the time for PU)

A new PC? Now this is great news! :) Want to share? Maybe we can help with the config. :) And try to build one urself. It's a very exciting and satisfying process. :D Almost more exciting than the new PC itself. :p

me and my dad are working on it, Athlon 64 3200+, decent Nvidia 6600 GT or whatever graphics card, 300 gig hard drive, and a nice mobo. I got the sound, keyboard and mouse already and got a new case, a CoolerMaster Centurian 5 I think.

I just got the 3200+ and a 6600GT about 3 weeks ago! :D
If you want to overclock, then try to find the 3200+ "Venice Core" (if it has a BP or BW in the model number, then it's a venice. The BP's are known to overclock more.)
And I bought the Zalman 7700 AlCu cooler for my CPU. Huge and practically silent, especially if set to the min. rpm (965 rpm).
What about the mainboard? I bought the Epox 9npa+ Ultra (nforce4 ultra Chipset) for its overclocking capabilities.

I think that's a compliment, these days, Glottis. ^_^
Although He may have meant "Geek" , still a compliment.:)
The scary part is, I understood what you said. ;)

well I was meaning in general not targeted at anyone... I don't really care about the computer terms... I find out (using google or PC magazines) what are the good stuff and what I can get for the money (or for my parents money for this, since it was a xmas gift). I am so happy with the computer, NFS:MW settings are on full everything :) and I don't think i need to overclock it anytime soon... no need to yet. The only thing i will have to replace in the future (near future?) is the graphics card but for now its great.

LOL Alex I know u didn't mean to insult anyone. I was joking. :D

And yes the video card is the bottleneck in my PC, too. But it'll run games decently for one year at least. Newer video cards cost a lot more, and I wasn't prepared to throw my money away on something that will become obsolete in 2 years. :)

I play FEAR (awesome game! I recommend it!) with almost all the settings on high, AntiAliasing 2x and Anisotropic Filtering 8x, resolution 1024x768. So I guess if I can paly THAT game decently, then I'll be able to play almost anything decently for the next year. :D

Better to buy a $150 video card and a $500 digicam than the other way around. ;)

I am really wanting fear :)

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory came with the graphics card, UK edition no doubt! lol

know where I could find an American or UK copy of GT Legends for a decent price?

FEAR is an awesome game, the only downside is that it's reasonably short. I played it when I was sick and it didn't take me more than 3 days to complete it. The storyline is great.
