1st impression;
Outside it looks like a neat power-pc, with it's black alu bursting look
Inside it looks like a technical test-laboratotium os something like that :D
I just booted it, activated Dual SLI, yeaaaaaaaaaa
My estimates is this pc will live for 4-5 years at least, it have 8x better graphics power versa the old pc

nice! I'd hate to see the price tag on it though. :) But hey, if you can afford it, why not buy the best!

Well, I forgot the price tag, the reason for that is,
this is a bonus from my boss cus I did great work last season, so I saw no reason to be shy when he told me to build a premium gamer pc :) (yes I have the best boss to work for), last year I did a project for him, I was working 30% more than he had estimated for the project pay, so this is a bonus payback for that old job I did (cus I did it without complaining, the salary was OK as it was), YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
The whole fun costs 40.250 NOK, that's ca 6000 USD i think... &(
EDIT: I am only working on contracts, for the ordinary employers my boss have 1 friday a month, doing 2-3 hours of go-karting, and a couple beers after, boss pays from welfare budgets of company. I guess I can join if if I pay some few bucks each time, wich I wanna try.
Boss is former domestic champ in karting, so he having alot of fun too, winning all the time :)

Crazy Mads!
Erm, how and why U* need the two GPUs? Is there any improvement in using two? Or did U* only buy them to own X² and FarCry twice?
Nice fan in last pic!!!
Could U* tell us anything about the noise of this machine?

Dual GPU to handle future fps needs ( I figured this pc to live 5 years for my needs if I'm lucky).
The dual GPU cards works just like dual RAM, they work at separate channels and take each 2nd framerate (tho the whole picture needs to be uploaded in each GPU...), that's why I went for so many RAM total.
The old pc is 2.5 years old, I never did any upgrades on it. If I do any upgrades on this new pc it will only be to eventually swap the 250GB HDD with a 2nd 74GB Raptor HDD, to go for RAID 0 (that if I find lags in HDD loading..),
and maybe get a TV card in it, then buy a flat 32" screen without tv-tuner inbuildt, that's 30% lower cost than a flat lcd tv... ;) , then I also can use it as a hdtv
EDIT; 2 copies of FARCRY ready to be posted to the ones who wants it, same go for 1 copy of MOTO GP2 :p and 2 copies of TheTreat
EDIT #2; NOISE...
Well, it's remarkable quiet so far tho I haven't started push it yet by driving any games, but the amazing thing is it's just as silent as the old pc (wich has Atlantis GPU....) I still use the original fans came with the soundproof chassis (16dB fans, I can change them into 12dB fans for a low cost, and thats the fans who feels noisy at this point, if I shall dare to call it noise ;-)
It sounds like a plain ordinary pc so IMO it's very silent given those 2 grand GPU's

Wow!
I'm so freakin' happy for you Madsy! =)^
That's one great system you've got! :D
And it WILL live 4-5 years. Of course in 2010 you will have the settings set to low-medium in Half-life 3 and to extremely low in FEAR 2. LOL
But I hope we won't wait THAT long for the 2nd FEAR. :)
I had an Athlon 1.4 thunderbird system with 512MB RAM and a 64MB Geforce3 which lived 4.5 years...Until some games just refused to install on it! I just built a new one 3 weeks ago. :)
Does your boss need anyone to work for him in Ukraine? :D
Again, great system Mads! Congrats! 4 thumbs up! (my wife's thumbs included in the package).
Tony.

Congralations with the thing, you know you could buy a nice Ford Sedan for that kind of a dosh right?
Anyway, I'm still part-time sick and full-time feeling badly but I got an email sent about my pc parts since there seems to be no answer to why the things aren't working, except perhaps factory defects.
I'd to know about those games too? X2, The Threat, that super advanced multi-theme space-sim/game? I think I tried the demo for it, really a lot to learn and a lot of fun to be had I think, but it's hard to get here, apart from a certain store from the Amiga-days which I've had my last dealings with, so if you stop by Sjælland next year I wouldn't mind one, because I have a feeling I won't have an up and running 21st century PC until then. I fear it's too late to get anything swapped this year, and I just noticed the graphicscard dropped 200 DKK and it's not even a weeks since I bought it :(
Have fun Mads, you deserve it

It wasn't bought for my real money, it was a gift from my motor-freak boss, allowed me to build it.
I could ask for a cloth-dryer machine+ fridge or maybe 14 days vacation to anywhere in the world, but I choosed something that I have dreamed about for a long time, a mean pc.
Wich my ecenomy never would allow to realize if I'd used my own bucks budget.
EDIT; yes dear maty Tony, the games followed the GPU's, hehe. Makes me very glad to see you man, please greet your loving wife from me!
EDIT2: Frank, I know what island you live at, just tell me what side the ferry goes at (north or south side, I guess north?..), it would be great for me to go visit you at Orø, us 2 doing some happy good hours in friendship, me handshake your mom and you! Just tell me where I can reside my tent to rest overnight, Orø looks like the perfect midway rest stop for me when I drive to Holland next summer, I can arrive late eve ferry find restplace my own, then we meet the next day spend some hours before I head south.
If I can find a cool restplace to tent up at Orø, well then I guess I can set new PB Oslo-Den Haag given EFFECTIVE AVERAGE KMH, because then I can schedule the driving hours to the perfect regarding jams.
In Denmark Germany and Holland traffic is so heavyloaded that I have to drive them at early night to make speed higher than my PB (10 hours, 1300 KM, that's in one run, going Holland-Norway tour, wich is detour and alot faster regarding averagespeeds cus all swede roads is night time, with NOT ANY TRAFFIC, open wide roads secured with elk-fences..., makes us able to go at least 30 kmh faster average without risking life).
If I just time it better at south tour I might can tie that time or even beat it, but then I have to avoid night longtraders in germany and for crying out loud avoid the massive longtrading ques towards Rotterdam into Nederland.
That won't make a new PB regarding non-stop drive, but I bet average speed will increase alot, just imagine able to spin trough Hamburg-areas at "full" pace....
And going into dutch roads without had a 10 hours drive infront will make it easier to let average speed up into holland and it's nice roads;-)

What a machine!
And here I was putting myself $200 in debt just to buy a simple graphics card. ^_^.
You can have my camera gear, it's worth the same. :p
