777-200LR - record flight distance

The Boeing 777-200LR has flown for 12,500 miles in a record breakiing flight from Hong-Kong (VHHH) to London (EGLL). The plane carrying 35 passengers arrived after 23 hours.

I can definately say that being stuck on a plane for 23 hours is not my idea of fun, even with my interest in aircraft and aviation..

I love the aircraft though.. Made a special trip out to the airport on 19th July to see it.

It visited Sydney as well, giving select vistors a chance to admire the huge GE90 turbofans hanging from each wing.

Inside, it has some normal passenger seating, but towards the rear is the engineers stations and flight monitoring equipment.
