I recently aquired an Emachines AMD-based system (new/different mainboard in it now running an Athlon 2800+ w/512 MB DDR) and it has both a CD-RW and DVD Burner/Player.

I have no experience with DVD burning software and wanted to get any advice on which program(s) I may want to look at (for burning DVD's - making backups of many of my copywrited DVD's). I've seen retail prices from $19.00 - just over $100.00 (US Prices) and am not really sure of which to look at more closely.

Hopefully, someone here will have more info on DVD burning software. I have a Sony DVD drive in my main computer and have played videos on it using various software packages. I have that "NVDVD" is a fairly good playback program - it came packaged with my 128 MB AGP 8X video adapter. It's easy to use as a playback program.

Any suggestion for where I can go to find more info on this (new to me) hardware would be highly appreciated.

Cheers, everyone!

Yeah, like I do as well. I wonder why there not been a burning programm included in your package?
I think Nero is the best known application and it's doing the job good. I didn't expirience any troubles with it yet.
