Some new Quattroporte models are available from Maserati, to complement the standard "normal" Quattroporte. The new ones are a Quattroporte Sport GT (a much more sporty version) and a Quattroporte Executive (a super opulent version).
It wasn't exactly lacking in anything to start with, already potent, and already very opulent. These new ones are very nice. Still powered at the moment by the roaring 4.2L V8.
Still hard to believe they chose that engine for use in the Quattroporte. At any sort of provocation with the accelerator the thing roars. A single-digit salute to the conservative luxury car establishment I suppose. :)
Also, Maserati's new configurator is online with some very nice 3d models of the cars, particularly Quattroporte. I'd love to get some orthographic projections of the Quattroporte in side, top, front and back views. :)
