Was told on the news today, about a rare occurrence of Jupiter passing behind the moon. Apparently it's not due to be visible here again for about 70 years.

Of course, I was there to photograph it.

Thanks guys.

Nice shot.
MMmm, 1.3 megapixel camera?

I have a Nokia 3220, and it only has 640x480 camera 0.3megapixel.

My camera, I shot these with was a Canon 20D SLR, with 8.3 megapixel

Holy crap, awesome shots there Wazza :O
A startling amount of clarity and detail... real nice. How did you get the shots through the telescope?

That shot of the rainbow from a phone is remarkable considering it's from a phone, too! Nice Bcar.

It was shot through this Meade LX200 10" telescope, using a special EOS T-Mount adapter to connect a Canon SLR to the scope. :)

Thanks Phil for the Monsterous comment. :D

And thanks Chris.

Too bad the weather hasn't been so great lately.
It would be cool if I could see a flash in the sky when the satellite plows into that comet travelling through our solar system.

July 4th, here we come.

Also nice to see the neat photos you can make with cellphones these days (I'm not exactly good at keeping up with technology  )
