Was told on the news today, about a rare occurrence of Jupiter passing behind the moon. Apparently it's not due to be visible here again for about 70 years.
Of course, I was there to photograph it. :rolleyes:

MMmm, 1.3 megapixel camera?
I have a Nokia 3220, and it only has 640x480 camera 0.3megapixel.
My camera, I shot these with was a Canon 20D SLR, with 8.3 megapixel

A startling amount of clarity and detail... real nice. How did you get the shots through the telescope?
That shot of the rainbow from a phone is remarkable considering it's from a phone, too! Nice Bcar.

It was shot through this Meade LX200 10" telescope, using a special EOS T-Mount adapter to connect a Canon SLR to the scope. :)

Yeah, they do indeed go up to 8 or more megapixels. I've seen some That are more than 20 megapixels! :eek: The price of them is even more eeeek!

Too bad the weather hasn't been so great lately.
It would be cool if I could see a flash in the sky when the satellite plows into that comet travelling through our solar system.

Also nice to see the neat photos you can make with cellphones these days (I'm not exactly good at keeping up with technology :rolleyes: )
