The developers of the excellent CIVA INS for FS2004 have released version 1.40:

This version has numerous improvements, and according to some SSTSim/Altitude Concorde users it follows tracks much better too.

You only need download it if you already have planes using an existing version of this INS.

Wow, just one quick glance at the pages told me that's one sophisticated gauge. Awesome that a sim can be that advanced

It's extremely advanced.

It is old fashioned navigation and quite clunky to operate (as in real life), but for SST and 747-200 pilots, we must use it.

The DME updates are the most complicated thing to do. That is where the INS is being updated mid-flight through a VORDME. INS failures are also troublesome, but the manuals describe how to manage a failure properly.

To be honest, this INS works just like the real Delco Carousel IV-A INS units. I know its pretty close when I get told by a real life 747-200 pilot that the tutorial I wrote for the FS2004 INS is pretty accurate for the real one! :)

I only home someone can provide Marco with some detailed info on the Carousel IV-AC INS units - since those are the exact ones Concorde used.
