Taken from a quote from the Flightsim France forums:
FS2006 Should be in the shops around September time, a friend who works as flight tester also informs me that the new Airbus A380 and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner is included with the 6 disc product. Be warned its going to be 10MB!!
I think that last bit should be probably 10gb.
It will be interesting to see if the A380 and 787 are included. And I wonder if the size increase (6 CD's!!!) will equate to superior realism in aircraft systems.
Will we see fully featured flight management computers? And will Concorde make a return again, given that it should have been included in FS2004: A Century of Flight, given its historical significance as the only successful SST, and how it brought so many advances at one time.

Interesting rumours. Btw FS2002Pro and FS2004/ACOF also was on 3 CD and appearently heavily compressed.
Any word on what smaller planes will be present? I really miss a good Cardinal :( (I don't have a credit-card to buy the commercial one)

They should use DVD's like other company's, but damn, I don't have enough free space for it, my Dad likes FS2004 but.

NO NO NO NO NO!!! :nono:
No DVD's! Not everyone has a DVD drive in each of their computers. :)
Frank N. O.: No word on which smaller planes will be present. This was only a rumour from someone who must have tested FS2006.
FS2004 for me is on 4 CD's though, so 6 isn't too bad.

Whoops, you're right, FS04 is indeed on 4, I just checked on my desk. Man things aren't going my way today either :(
Please let us (or at least me) know if there are any news on more substantial updates as well, like a revised flight-model or updated VC like FS2004 has compared to the other models. Or maybe tools for AI traffic to set the mood with authentic flight plans or such, or updated more authentic radio-communication (the procedure and commands, not the speech-recordings since several of the nine original were pilots etc.).

I think I heard CFS is no longer a go, along with Train Simulator.

One thing is that not everyone obeys the same "phraseologie" in real life. They certainly aren't strict like FS2004 ATC chatter. The differences are the little human touches, like a pilot saying something like "very good morning to you" when addressing a stressed or very busy air-traffic controller for the first time. It's all of those instinctive little things that we as humans might do, that could make a big difference in Flight Simulator.
I'd personally like the ATC chatter to have accents appropriate to each country you are flying through. Like French ATC speaks with a French accent (or even in French if you choose to fly a plane with French registration), or if you are flying through the UK, you should hear ATC speaking with various British accents.
Listen to this for an example: (open in Windows Media Player)

That is a recording of communications between G-BOAF and Heathrow clearance, Heathrow Ground, Heathrow Tower, and London. The flight is from Heathrow to Filton. It probably goes "around the bay".
And I assume they couldn't do both a DVD and CD version? I know Race Driver 2 was on DVD, and the specs fo the computers they are for, they should have DVD players on them, and it would be cheaper.

Not sure if it's real since my brother just came from Odense and we're very busy here but here is allegedly someone's search-results for FS2006 plans.
