Until the V8 SuperForum opens this week I'll post this here ...

Finally on Tuesday Jason Bright will officially *finally* hes gone to FPR

http://www.jasonbright.com.au/

Honestly it will come as no surprise when its announced

What will shock is if he stays with a Holden team, or at least moves to a different Ford team because I think we've safely worked out this years lineup and where everyone goes

No I don't think that is possible in any way. Theres only 1 vacant spot in the top teams and thats FPR. Its funny how FPR remain quiet about their next driver, and Bright doesn't say anything either...so it basically gives it away.

What will be interesting, is his own team. I'd like to see what happens there.

well yeah, It will

For those that dont know, it is my understanding (so I may be wrong but this is what ive heard) Team Bright, aka "Britek" will be setup this year as a training ground and entry for 2 young guns to the series. The theory behind it is while Brights at FPR he'll also be trying to gain sponsors money for his team, as well as setting up staff and the like

Then once the teams running at 100%, everyones comfortable with everyone else then Bright will take over as the lead driver in his team

In my opinion its the right way to go about it, it gives the team a chance to sort out its problems before the main driver steps in. Plus on the other hand Bright will become lead driver with FPR (Im sure of this) and encourage more sponsors to look at him as lead driver with the Ford factory team.

Just some name made up by Bright, for his team. But do you think Bright will have 2 drivers for his team in the first year?

I think it will be a 1 car team and possibly next season (2006), he might get another car/driver. Maybe thats when he becomes the lead driver...

As for the Tasman, yeah Murph's dad owns half the team and I think when the team becomes a lot more cometetive (championship contenders), then Murph might go to Tasman.

well the roumer is ...

We already know the Murphys purchased the Lansvale Racing Team from long time owner and possibly founder Trevor Ashby and Simon Reed.

Last year the car wasnt recognisable as the Lansvale Smash entry, the only signage it had that mentioned the repairer was on the rear spoiler and it went from its long time colour scheme of red/yellow/blue to the Greg Murphy Racing livery of Black and Orange

Now this year the team has cut all ties with Sydney and moved to Melbourne, the very place Greg lives!

Now ... Gregs moved to PWR ... ok!

We also know Kmarts on the move.

The only roumer that makes sense is ...

PWR are really after a new sponsor, as its Paul Weels company thats forking out for the sponsorship. Greg Murphy makes the move with the knowledge Kmart will follow him wherever he may go ... PWR are happy to accept as it means its now Kmart, not PWR paying for the team

Now "Tasman" motorsport gets settled into Melbourne, sets up a second car and gets on with it

A few years time, with the knowledge Kmarts done it once, they'll do it again, Murphy makes the switch to the family owned team. He has the sponsorship money and the team now to do it

From what Ive read so far in Murphs Law (his book) it makes sense, Murphys only barrier in his life has been a lack of sponsorship money, right from his early days in karts.

Well, it is nice to see Jason Bright wearing blue.........again. :D

I am just hoping that he is worth every cent (of his million dollar value) at Ford.

Well it would be good to see if FPR give Bright a good enough car to win races, and whats good is that we should find out in either Melbourne or Adelaide (as Bright has always been competitive at both tracks will driving for Holden)

I think it was mentioned that Steve Owen was driving for Bright's team, which means that his team will be in very capable hands.

As for PWR apparently they arleady have a sponsor lined up because Kees Weel hinted in last issue of V8X that the 2005 livery will be mostly red (and no Paul Weel Radiators is now a minor sponsor), well the rumor is that HSV might be the sponsor or the other rumor is that this sponsor used to be a major sponsor of a past V8 Supercar team but hasnt been involved in the sport for some years

No Ambrose is the lead drive of Stone Brothers Racing (SBR) and he drives the Pirtex car (which is the blue one)

Craig Lowndes was the leap driver of Ford Performance Racing, but now he has left the team so Jason Bright is now the lead driver

It would be just as funny if Bright ends up doing a lot better with Lowndes' old equipment, it will be intersting to see how he goes.

lol, not really, cos Lowndes was a winner for the whole time he was at HRT, Bright wasn't really winning much, might be because they are using ford components that they aren't too used to.
