LMAO, this is the best one -
90. you've learned to pass SUV's quickly for fear they'll fail to see you and merge into you
Our Golf is prolly as big, but still, I don't seem to have that fear, cos I know I can out accelerate them.
And the lowered one is true for most fwd mcpherson strut cars.

If you have repaired a side bolster in a driver's side seat more than once.
-i need to repolster the left bolster of my drivers seat

If ridding cars that don't have rattles seems to bother you.
-every line that has to do with rattiling is true, including turning the radio full blast to ignore the rattles.

If you have ever broken both lower shock mount bolts while changing rear struts and know how to deal with it effectivly.
-did it to a freinds 89 crx

If you memorized all the engine codes for the D series and B series and know what is interchangable and what is not.(between the motors).
- i know most of them.

If your wheels cost as much as your car.
-my car was free, my wheels i want are $730 w/tires (205/40/17)

If you have a fishtank in your tailights after it rains hard
-well,considering my tailights are craked......

If swaping a sohc motor is actually a HP gain
-i got a 1.5 for craps sake

If you have ghetto rigged an armrest/center console
-i was actually planning on it before reading this post, seeing my civic dont have a center console.

53. When something happens like a ding on your car, you just say "f- it, it's just an ef" and go on like nothing happened 54. You have spent at least 8 hours looking for a CF lip that will fit a USDM front end online
-true and true. my car badly need nu paint so i dont care bout (acidental) scratches (that i make)

if your idea of a "motor swap" consists of a d16a6 block with a d16z6 head
-im actually am looking into buying one

you use "high mileage" motor oil...lol
=162118_6 Miles

every ricer with a fartcan muffler and a 5 foot tall wing revs at you every time you pull up to a light
-so annoying, do not rev at me unless you have a turbo or somthing besides a fart pipe, so i can know for sure if im going to lose or not.

you still have pride even though you drive a 15 year old car.
-heck yeah, it will be 15 in May.

when you have a jdm cluster with your d15
-so funny cause i want a jdm cluster

if you look in rear view mirror and actually see yourself along with boths sides of the car
-i thought i was the only one that noticed that

you think 17' rims are "Huge"
they fit my civic like dubs! i hope i can lower it, i seen a blue civic just like mine on 17's, it didnt look like it can go lower that stock Height. Well find out!!!!!

you feel as if you are the master of all ef's if you dont have any rust/paint fade
-i would, but my paint's faded, crappy honda paint my buddies ballade sports 1.5 CRX was the same way, minus the tree sap

If power steering robs you of precious HP.
-i got power nothing!!!

When you leave the passenger side seatbelt buckled all the time to avoid the annoying light on the damn ceiling.
-or that stupid beeping noise tha sonds like a bomb arming, making you think what you thought earlier when redlining it- "This thing is gonna blow up sooner or later."

When you've pushed your car more times than you can remember, and you thank god that your car is light to begin with.
=i was thinking this when i had to push it back home from down the street, cause i stalled in reverse and it wouldn't start beack up. how about as soon as pushed it to the spot it was gonna be parked at, it started right up. i was highly upset.

you've spent hours on the Grand Theft Auto games hunting down the EF styled cars...then make it a goal to steal one in the game even though there are far better cars to steal and you know it/You have a crx in each garage in GTA vice city
-i thought i was the only one who did that.^_^

If you worry about your car as much as a porsche owner despite it is 1/100 the value.
-so true

i love my little hatch^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ with a little cash and effort, i'll get it respectable once again.

The car I want is 15 years old, VQ Caprice, they are generally maintened well cos they were the mot expensive Holden at the time and still are, I mean then it was $60,000 or so, that is damn expensive really, a VN Group A cost less I beleive, and Chris, how much was one of those 25 GTR's sold here for?

Obviously, you've never restored a typical old muscle car. There are some that are perfect survivors, just like there are Japanese cars that are perfect survivors, but most are going to have AT LEAST as many problems as what blackice listed.

You're comparing one of the most expensive Aussie sedans / muscle cars (I wouldn't call it that, but anyway) of that time to one of the cheapest imports of that time. The Caprice is easily two to three times more expensive, so I sure would hope that they last longer.

A more fair comparison would be to compare high end Celicas, Preludes, Eclipses and low end Supras and 3000GT's to the Mustangs, Camaros, Commodores and Falcons of the time. Then you'll have a fair result.

FWIW, my 22 year old Celica has no such interior issues, and it's been parked outside in the Texas sun most it's life.

But the Caprice is built on the same production line as the Commodore, and the Commodore at the time cost $22,000, and they don't get rust either, no matter how bad you treat them, unless you go to the sea a lot. It's sort fo expected from the higher price of one compared to a Commodore of the same age that it's been treated better of course, ditto for the Calais, the SWB luxury Commodore, the Caprice being LWB.

The 100 GT-R's imported by Nissan were not a rival for the local muscle cars anyway. It was aimed at Porsche, Ferrari, Honda NSX.

When they did try to take it on, the result was inevitable. So they refused to race against it. Talk about bad sportsmanship.

The fact the race GTR had a $100,000 motor in it didn't count at all then? I don't think any Holden team spent more then $40,000 on the engines back then.

No. :) When you are racing, you are racing. If you haven't got the best, then you do what you can to be the best.

Obviously they realised that. Just look at the amounts of money they spend now, both Holden and Ford. Difference is that now they are winning, so you don't hear the complaints anymore.

Chris, from what I've read, they didn't get rid of the skyline just for the fact it was winning, they got rid of it because Group A worldwide was abolished, regardless of the fact no one else won when they were racing, it's like with F1s now, people get bored of watching the same thing over and over and over again. So they change the rules, but they abolished Group A racing everywhere, not just here.
