Unbelievable to see what Flight Sim fans will do in the search for absolute realism. This has to be seen to be believed.

Browse down that page and download the video.

I don't even want to know the price of building all of this stuff. :)

I've seen some ever better ones..

People actually buying cockpit sections of condemned Boeing 737's (usually old 200 models and similar) and building the whole thing up again to work with a flight simulator. It's unbelievable.

Some of the costs I noted where in the region of US$30,000. Amazing costs, but an amazing experience when it's all built.

See here:

That was C-GAPW, before it was condemned for scrap. Here is how it looked when it was still flying:

Quite unbelievable. :)

Ok, when are we going to see Chris from Sydney's Concorde-simulator? ;)

I've wanted something similar but for a car, but there is no Driving Simulator =((

Not any time in the near future. I'm not dedicated enough to spend time doing something like that. :) Too much work, too much things to go wrong..

At my Dad's work in the 80's the Victorian Government bought a train simulator and they spent over $100,000 on it and the porgraming costs and everything for it were massive, needless to say now, it's obselete and unused because they never did get it right.

Dad says also when he learnt to drive the driving school he want to had a driving simulator, with realistic feel cluthc, brake and accelerator pedal.

Franksome body turned a civic into a racing game simulator, so to speak. they had a steering wheel, pedals, and shifter incorporated into the right side of the car, and they had a PS2 or XBOX hooked up to it, and they had some sort of HUD setup cause it showed up on the windsheild, it was a show car, it was pretty cool. i gave away the magazine that it was in, sorry, i'd give you specifics if i could.

That's pretty wild although a bit too much for me but still interesting. I've also thought a bit on how to provide the most authentic read-out and feel from the pedals but even though it's fairly simple, I simply don't have either tools or abilities to make it, but my uncle has contacts so maybe it's more realistic after we move a month from now.

Theres a few V8 Supercar simulators around, made out of stripped out Au Falcons in mock supercar gear, and all of them played V Shallange and under the bonnet had the subwoofer and the streo in the back too, was really good.

Have you ever played that Ferarri 355 game with the three screens?
