From the guy whose now just itching to open his forum ...
apparently Kmart have pulled out of the Kelly backed team (what do you call it without the Kmart bit?)
Some theories include Kmart going to Tasman Motorsport as the major sponsor, with Murph using PWR as the interim until its all complete
Others say Target coming onboard as major sponsor instead
Hmm intersting (dammit I want to open V8 SuperForum now ...)
LOL, well Target and Kmart are the same company, Myer, so theres no major complaint from me really.
Lol. I hope they stick in v8s, they probably left cos Murph left!

there was also talk they left coz of murph, because he had a major part to do with bringing them to begin with
I dont know, I got Murphs Law book a few days back and ive finally just got past chapter 1 about his year (97) at HRT and how they booted him in 98. Boy he sticks the boot into Skaifey, HRT in general and Ingall

HRT Threw him out and kept Lowdnes who had his way with them the next year and went to ford.

i know that (now)
its cool but coz murph was saying HRT hate coming anywhere but 1st, such as lowndes in 1998, 1999 and skaife in 2000, 2001 and 2002 and by the time Ambrose come around in 2003 to steal their placing, unlike with murph where they could just boot him for 'not performing', Skaifes spots secured as he now owns the team
What may have helped tip the balance in skaifes favour was the teams performance with me as lead driver in 1997. HRT was used to winning the V8 Supercar championship, and winning the title in style - like it had with Craig the year before. It wasnt used to losing
They're (HRT) a lot happier to discuss their performance in '96, '98, '99, 2000, 2001 and 2002 - years when HRT completely blew the rest of the field away. Not until 2003 would HRT become vulnerable to defeat in the championship again, but by the time Mark Skaife lost that title to Fords Marcus Ambrose, he'd own the team, and his job security would be assured"

yeah they kicked Murph out of HRT for '98, but Murph got 75% of his wages in '97, and a drive for the endurance races.

This is interesting, cause you'd think that Kmart would be 100% commited to KRT (or Kelly Motorsport) - youd think that two Bathurst wins in a row would seal the deal not to mention coming runner-up in the Championship in 2002 and 2003.
It should be interesting to see who replaces Kmart as their major sponsor.

LOL, nah they'd start their own NZ based team.

Totally right, why would a sponsor pull out of a team which is essentially at the moment flying the Holden flag? I think Kmart could be in a bit of financial trouble, or the team are not treating their sponsors right.

well warehouse would have to sponsor holden seeing as it is red, but their bargins parts might break!!! lol
Coles- Myer broke records last year in how much they made didn't they? I doubt financial trouble. Most likely a dispute.

why spend money if you have just broken your own financial records. Maybe they just figured bugger it.
