a 84 323 i with a Mazda 20b motor. now thats innovative. i bet thats the ultimate street sleeper. those things dont wieght any more than 2500 lbs, and with that lightweight, high powered, turbo charged rotary, i bet that thing takes off like a rocket. 20b 's from the Eunos Cosmos have excellent bottom end compared to the 12a and 13b motors of the RX-7. i've seen a twin turbocharged version of this motor with over 950 horses and 800 lb/ft of torque on the stock rotors. I saw another RX-7 (FD3S) with a single turbo 20b making over 600 horses. if i had a RX-7, i'd definatly put out the cash for a 20b.

There's a triple rotor E36 M3 here, it's pink and made top 10 at summernats 17, which was the summernats in 03'. And it runs 9's, which isnt' that quick, the quickest rotary in Australia is at the moment a 20B/T Chev berretta with a 6.99@201.52mph, the next car being a 20B/T powered Mazda RX3 with a 7.09@195.45mph.

Whereas the fastest 4 cycle mtor in Australia is in Pro Street Blown, which means they are stripped out, but are almost all full steel other then a fibreglass bonnet I think. And anyway, the fastest in that class is a 572ci Supercharged Chev HK Holden sedan, with a 7.74@180.12mph, and that car is about 3700lbs, and is only making about 1500hp out of the motor, which isn't much for the car, considering it drives around the pits as well!

:jawdrop: wow, are these street cars? if so, 9 is incredibly quick. seems like you all are pretty experienced with the 20b. its still a pretty rare find over here, kinda like the SR20DET 7 years ago. but Mazda sells Cosmos in AU, dont they?

No, we never got them, same as with R32's (we got less then 50 GT-R's it doesn't count), R33's, S13's etc, they are all grey imports and most people get front cuts, but that M3 I'm talking about isn't exactly used on the road, but I think there are Rotary powered cars running 9's on the street, i know there are plenty of V8's that do, all legal, with engineered roll cages and all.
