yep, you need to be able to meet the system requirements. i had this problem till i upgraded to my 2.8ghz from a 350mhz and now the game loads without a problem at all..btw you need at least 32mb of video and 256memory(specially if you use xp)
you should check the sys req's before buying a game

cheers

You just said you have 700 MHz and it needs 933 MHz, so no, your system doesn't meet the minimum requirements.

If you'd please pay more attention the you'd see that I'm different user who wrote this...

Sorry for the confusion gune, I was referring to the original post, where the answer seems pretty cut and dry. Looking at the times our two posts were made, I am guessing you were posting while I was typing and beat me to the reply, it happens sometimes, heh.

About you getting the same error, you never posted your specs, so I can't really offer any suggestions to solve your problem at the moment... Hmm.. Are all your drivers up to date? I read that even old sound card drivers can cause errors, so you may wish to check those too (often overlooked). There are also some performance tips in the manual that tell you to shut down a few backround processes, you may give it a shot. Do post your system specs though, we might be able to spot something that doesn't jive.

An Easy Question....

Did you buy the game?

I am a bit concerned about the overall lack of sufficient RAM. Although I think you should technicall be safe with the 64 MB vid card as far as requirements go, just remember that even with my 2.8 GHz CPU, 128 MB Radeon 9000 pro video card, and 256 MB of DDR 333 RAM, the game barely even ran at 640 resolution and everything turned down. I finally went to 1280 MB of RAM and the game is OK even on the now-outdated vid card. With this in mind, you may just need more RAM, or an overall upgrade. The game is really taxing on systems, so I have noticed. Still, you'd think the game would at least load for you and just run rough. This is a reach, but can you get into your BIOS settings and set you video apperture (sp?) to 256 MB? This may do nothing at all, but it is worth a shot.

i have:

AMD Duron (Morgan) 1.2 Ghz
ASRock K7VM2
256 MB DIMM SDRAM PC133
ATi Radeon 9600se

and the game runs perfectly at mid-quality settings. i've never had a single problem with the game and this setup, although it is a quite low performance pc...
