Where are the hidden races

I found one at the start (before you get your car), and two in stage 2, is there one for stage 1?

Anyone know where all the hiddne races are?

what do you mean hidden races...i don't quite get your meaning!!!!..i do know that when you get sponsored in stage 2 you need to win race x to get into the U.R.L races which are hard as hell...

They are on pretty obvious places, well not all the time. Sometimes, they're hidden in shortcuts too. Best strategy: complete are races that are on the map first in a stage, then scan the entire map for hidden races, by checking every road.

So far, I've heard mention of these hiddens races, so I'll go by that.

Here's the first hidden race, can't save game just before, because there's no garage yet (using Rachel's car).

Someone just posted about using the world map function to see them. I'll give it a try.

The first one was a surprise though, before you even get to the garage.

They won't show up on the world map until you have actually come across them. Press "m" for the world map on PC by the way.

The hidden races are just easter eggs, don't fret if you can't find them right away. In your travels about the city, you'll find some races that aren't on the map. Join the race, but don't actually accept the race (unless you want to), but decline and exit the race instead. The race will now appear on the map.

Don't confuse the "world map" with the map in explore mode which you access by pressing "m". Teh map I was referring to is only available from within the menu before you even get into the game world.

1. Load your profile
2. Now you're in the Main Menu. Click Career
3. Now click Resume Career
4. Now you're in the Garage menu.
5. TheWorld Map is in this Garage Menu right between the first option (return to explore mode) and third option (Car select). it's a circle icon with 4 arrows around it.

Once here you can launch any race directly from the menu. Side scroll to see all stages, scroll down within a stage to see all races (completed or not). Best lap times are also listed so from here you will be able to race against yourself to try and better your best laps (jeffR's gonna LOVE that fact...) as well as launch any incompleted races. You also get a close-up view of each track. It's cool cause it first shows the area of the world where the track is located, then zooms in close for a better view of the detailed track.

If you still dont see this world map icon, I can only wonder if you have patched your game to 1.1?

Pretty confusing I guess, cause the "in game" world map is completely different from the "in menu" world map. 2 completely different maps with the same name.

Okay, I know what you mean now. I thought the booklet referred to the world map as being the one that fills the screen when you press "m", I guess I was mistaken.

About making the hidden races visible, it no longer seems to work. Either I was again mistaken, or it only worked in earlier levels. Bah, beats me.

The world map just showed up on my menu after making some progress on career mode (stage 1 or 2, I'll have to check this, I've been making a lot of backups as I progress).

However, I only see the races with event status of completed. Will mess with this some more later on.

Well, booklet says "World Map : M or F2 " in the menu controls list, so there you have it. I haven't tried the little icon thing though, it might be different.

I get the world map in the menu now, but I only see races that are completed. Can you make a picture of what the world map shows for non completed races? I can't get it to do this.

Ok, after you complete a stage, it shows the races you missed on the stage you just completed.

I'm having trouble finding some of these.

For example, in Stage 2, there's a drag race at the airport, but I don't see anything at the airport other than some cash pickups.

Are there hidden races for the SUVs?

I also noticed that switching to SUV, then back to car caused some races to appear that weren't there before in stage three. All of them were purple circles that appeared.

Other times, races just show up after completing other races...
