Online playing question.

I've just decided to try online at last but, I'm sort of lost as to how things work. You get ranked cars, my cars, all cars etc. Does anyone know what difference this makes?

Also, when I go to the Lobby it says 300+ people online. Where the hell are they!! I've tried various settings of the filter, different cars, and I'm lucky to see anymore than one game.

If anyone has a full explanation of playing online it would really be appreciated.

On a final note, why couldn't EA explain this in the manual instead of making it a guessing game?

from what I heard, its because of a Filter... because of the PS2 players can't have their game updated... since PS2 games can't be patched... but thats all I know.

I also posted this subject on EA's message board, this is the reply I got from someone:

"yea EA has really messed up the online selection, now why they couldn't leave it like the last one i don't know.

PROBLEM 1 the PS2, PC, Xbox are all on different servers so if you have pc then you will only get to compete against other pc players and so on.

PROBLEM 2 to many combos to try to race like you said 200 ppl online 50 races created but i only see like 2 races created.

PROBLEM 3 The keyboard for PS2 still does not work, this was a pain in the you know what in underground 1

but they did get something right headsets now i can talk to my teammates, wait half of them are on pc. I dunno

Ok so the X-box & PS2 users cant play against the PC users & if the online side of things runs ok for them what's EA's problum with patching the pc version unless all there intrested in doing is geting your money for lets face it a unfinished game yet again &( &( &(
