Well its still on ...

but ...

if you watched it what do you reckon of the 'preview of GRM's 2005 livery"?

Ive got to admit it looks awesome, although their preview car is a VY clubsport with the supercar front bumper, the livery still looks ok

I could sense Brad Jones dissapointment with Andrew going to Holden, only because Andy's saying that BJR have 2 cars with 2 seats and 2 drivers so he couldnt start there, when in acctual fact Brad had already said he's only got a few years left in him before he steps aside, and he would rather keep the Jones name on the window, and the best thing to do was stay with the Konicas till that time

To me it sounds like andrew will see out his 3 year deal with GRM, then might come the time for Brad to step aside like he plans and letting Andrew into the BJR car.

Also I didnt know about WPS at Symmonds having to remove their Ford windscreen decals because they claim they arent recieving money from the manufacturer ... did you?

Also (again) 6pm to 7pm Saturday Eastern Creek race will be fun! The start of this race will be great because the drivers will have to face the setting sun as they travel down the main straight ... I know because I have to on the motorway at around the same time, and the motorway runs directly paralell to the main straight!

Anyway I'm going back to the loungeroom now lmao

When is that race on? I'll be keeping an eye open (and listening) for F-18's flying overhead. I love those things. :)

Do you know whats funny, this is going all to Craig Gore's plan.

He said at the start of the year that during this season he wants to win at least one race, next year he wants to win a round or two and in their third year he wants a championship.

Well WPS better be ready to win more races as now Gore's got the taste of victory (both on track and in the court room aka CAMS office :D ) so Besnard and Owen Kelly have a big task ahead of them at Eastern Creek (especially Besnard)

I could sense Brad Jones dissapointment with Andrew going to Holden Not me...How would it look - Brad willing to give up Bowe's vast experience just to let his son in...bad move.

I think it'll give Andrew more credibility going to a different team, not to mention more varied experience. I'm thinking of Steven Johnson of course!

It could work out well for BJR, grm spends 3 years and alot of cars on skilling up andrew and then poach him back to take over brad's drive. Cool plan??!!??

Well i guess thats their plan now.

i think when his three years are up at GRM he ll come back to BJR cause by then either Brad Jones or Bowe would have retired, that also who knows Bowe might leave the team if SBR or DJR offers him anything you never know

Unless he is successful with Holden and doesn't want to leave, unless of course they pay himdouble what a holden team would pay to make them drive for them.

Brad willing to give up Bowe's vast experience just to let his son in...bad move nah matey youve mis understood my comment

What I mean was Brad Jones was pissed off that there wasnt a vacant Ford seat for Andrew (his nephew, not son fyi) which is why he went to a Holden team *supposidly* if theres more to the story I dont know but I do know money has alot to do with it ... (because Garry Rogers wants to 'mould a young driver into a great driver' similar to the success Rick Kelly is having, only he wants the bragging rights "I gave them the chance to shine")

As for the team itself what I am trying to say is Brad Jones has already said that the only time John Bowe wouldnt be sitting in a BJR car is if John made that decision himself, ie brad will NEVER force John out of a drive

What Brad said was in a few years time he would like to consider just being a spectator team owner from the pits, similar to a Mark Larkham or a Larry Perkins, and he would like nephew Andrew to fill his seat in his BJR racing car

The suggestion to Andrew was to remain in the feeder category until such time to continue his learning before stepping up into the big league, and not to worry because in a few years time there would definately be a seat in the family team. But Andrew won a championship and wanted into the big league, like Dumbrell did. Problem is Brad isnt reeady to hand over 'the keys' so to speak, not next year anyway, he cant afford to run a 3rd car, and he refuses to boot Bowe out.

I think it'll give Andrew more credibility going to a different team, not to mention more varied experience. I'm thinking of Steven Johnson of course! Yes and on the plus side Brad Jones did mention it will give Andrew a chance to experience not having the comfort of the families team "such as another driver". It means Andrew will have to do it all on his own, Brad said there will be none of this family related BS behind the curtain, as of 2005 they share the same name but on track thats about it, it'll become any typical Holden VS Ford or team vs team battle

It could work out well for BJR, grm spends 3 years and alot of cars on skilling up andrew and then poach him back to take over brad's drive. Cool plan??!!?? yes, theres that too. Brad only wanted to Andrew to remain in the Konica BJR car to continue learning because he knows its a huge step up to the real deal and Andrew wont be the next Ambrose in his first few years, in fact really the only notable young gun is Rick Kelly, look at Dumbrell or Wills who both come from the feeder category, there still coping with the change!. On the positive side if Andrew doesnt perform as well as he would like at least its not BJR that he's dragging down (well you know what I mean).
