heres a clip from this years Bathurst 1000 I just found it again so I though some of our international friends may like to see it
it was only shown the TV a few times :eyecrazy:because they were worried that the softco#k greenies:'( would of caused a stir
what happens and the way the driver kept the car going is a credit to the driver Jim Richards -^ one of our best touring car drivers at that point of the track the cars are going close to or a bit faster than 200 km's

The clip does not worry me as out my way this sort of thing is a everyday driving hazard but some people it may up set=[ so you have been warned watch at your own risk and don't blame me if you don't like what you see:nono:
no one made you watch it

opps I should not of put that there because now you'll all want to watch to see what is about ^_^
Aussies and kiwis should see the fun side of it from the backing tune if there ever heard it before :p

Saw something about that on Speed and in another forum. Don't know who to feel sorrier for, the roo or the driver. :'(

How was Bathurst for you Wello? you never did a report on it or anything, or even mention it on here, yeah I love that song, i gotta add it to be my startup sound. :p

That was quite nasty and every year they do talk about a kangaroo's likely to go on the track, but they haven't in recent years. Till this year of course.

"we like football, meat pies, KANGAROOS and HOLDEN CARS"

theyve been warning us for many years, we like to see Kangaroos verse Holden Cars

damn just downloaded it and found out that it includes that theme song

Anyways it added to the race, not the thing I wanted to see hit a possible contendor but never the less

from memory in the 30 odd years I've been watching Bathurst this is the first time I've seen a car clean one up
Seen then jump across the track before
Sorry VQ Bathurst was great not quite as much fun as last year with Acca being there but it was good

there are around 20 million people that live in Australia
and its report around 35 million Kangaroo's so there not as rare as the desk jockeys would have anyone that lives outside of Australia belive

And the damage they do is not only related to when you hit with your car

So when you hear the greenies say oh the poor Kangaroo's thats a load of sh%t
The greenies wanted to bring in a law that if you were unlucky enough to hit a roo that you had to help it after it had just wrote your car off
If you have seen a big red or grey roo the last thing you would want to do is go near it after running the bugger over more times that not the bugger is still alive and very pissed off and a pissed off roo belive it or not can kill you or at worest mess you up very badly

I work in the transport repair game and have seen trucks come in to work with $1000's of dollars damage from hitting a roo and the roo got up and walked hopped away

Yeah, they are just as bad as wombats and th other small slow moving heavy marsiupials we have, well with the freight trians now going up every capitol city in australia, they are even better to send up across the nt, because they can run over 4x4's etc and it won't affect it, like that train accident where the sprinter go de-railed, Dad said if they were using a N class loco, it would have gone straight through. So they would be able to handle the kangaroos.
