I got the game today…. And so far the only car I played around with is the GTO…. I did some quick races…. Its funny, in the list of cars you get the Cadillac Escalade…. From the stats it sucks….. I doubt installing some performance parts will do any good… Hehe…

If anyone has any questions, I’ll try to answer them…

Btw the songs sucks... Since most are RAP, its censored... Which IMO isn't great...

I think they are censored because its sounds like it....

Rap is cRap, so regardless of the songs, it still sucks, at least mudvayne is in there for one song.

Rap - well for the theme of the game it fits in. I didnt mind most of the NFS U songs, like I said for the theme of the game

I'm on the hunt tomorrow for it in aus, its still not sposed to be out for another 3 days but we'll see ...

Yeah, it should be available today (Nov. 19). Stores were supposed to have it stocked yesterday, and on sale today.

I just tried UG2, it's not bad, but so far I've only tried it in the Free race mode. I didn't try it with a steering wheel, since it's not a sim, so it doesn't need a steering wheel and pedals to control it.

I haven't worked out the "career" mode in it though.. It's confusing at the moment.

I already hate the included music, and my first task was to turn it off before I did anything else. Rap music and me don't fit very well together. ;) (the understatement of the decade).

So far I've found the visuals impressive, and the sounds quite good as well, while the circuits seem vast. The traffic doesn't behave skittishly like the idiotic drivers in NFS5 who were prone to panic-attacks when confronted by half-a-dozen Porsches screaming along at warp-speed.

haha, chris i looooooooooooooooooove this game already. i've played drag, free race mode and one other...might be the circuit...this game rocks...if i had to choose between this one and the rest of the nfs series this one be the one...i've raced mostly in the gto which is cool because i like that model...my hat goes off to EA for this release...Ok they used black betty(spider bait) and riders on the storm from the doors(rap) but i'm ok with that version it still sounds ok...and like you chris i'm a 70's child so anything that isn't rock is rubbish pretty much...but hey thats me...out of 10 i rate this a huggggggggggggggggge 9/10 i love this game...i need to get a new controller since my 2.8ghz won't touch my controller...

cheers all...oh yes i should have mentioned that my game was imported from the usa...i wanted it long before release here in au

Impatient hey? oh well, it happens, I like the GTO and the mustang in the game, and the Audi's and VW's and that's it pretty much, the fact they have hydralics on a AE86 in the ads is shameful, that model is good for one thing, drifting and that's it. IMO

The fun is in career mode.... Btw your driver is a Girl..... You will see that after a while....

What I hate is having to go from one end of the city to another.... And so Many turns.....

You really would want to use the GPS.... I have unlocked most level 2 performances, and some level 3… My Rep is about 5.92 Stars… Lol…

When you start “Career Mode” choose the 206, earn some money pass up on newer cars until the Celica comes along…. I suggest you pass on that as well… Since the next car is the IS300 and the Toyota Supra comes along…. Afterwards you’ll get the RX8 and the TT…

I choose to go with the TT as its great is Drift….

Also go with the bigger purse when it comes to Sponsors…. Though you have more races, you’ll earn more…. Like 5000 Each U.R.L’s….

Not bad….

Chris so you’re using the keyboard? I’m and yesterday night my fingers gave way… Hurts so bad….

song selection is pretty good, i dont listen to any of the songs I dislike.

I dislike they didn't include the S2000 from UG1 and the integra type r.

hey Aus Made that'd be the US version then hey? Because they change things slightly for each continent

Also just curious how much did it cost to have it imported? Ive never done it thus why Ive got no idea, but I'm interested to find out what you need to do and how much it all costs :D

I don't know what the differences are between all versions. I've got what is labelled as "Asia-Pacific edition"

By the way, anyone getting hooked in the online play features, take note of this on the back of the box:

Registration required to access online features. Internet connection required. Terms & Conditions and feature updates are found at WWW.EAGAMES.COM. You must be 13+ to register online. EA may retire online features after 30 days notice posted on WWW.EAGAMES.COM.

I suppose that statement came about after the NFS5 online racing debacle.

I notice the GTO is by far the quickest of the cars you can start with. In the free run mode, I easily achieved 250km/hr with no troubles at all, and no tuning done.

Sometimes I would be going past some Celica so quickly it appeared the other one was stopped. Thank god for no police in this game (that I know of). The rozzas would have had me in the lockup for going so quickly. ;)

Nice to see that the racing area has some nice fast sections. Sometimes tracks have too many turns and they become tedious. NFS:U1 was a bit like that, but U2 is a huge improvement in that regard.

I got the game on monday (US version of course), started with the 240SX, then got the Hyundai and i'm still using it. Currently i'm on level 3, with 5.86 rep. Its quite funny to see in the end race results cars like the Mustang GT, G35, RX-8 and others below the winner Hyundai. I also have the RX-8 wth 5.26 rep for drifting and every other race...
I gotta tell you something about this game, it beats the hell out of UG1, even though the gameplay in career mode is very complex, but i certainly find very appealing all this exploring and driving through the city. Since monday, my ass has only left my chair and my hands have stopped gripping tightly my racing wheel only to assist school and to sleep... The game is great, thats all i have to say.

it is, but the integra type r, S2000, and Neon (NFS UG2 should have gotten the SRT4) never made it from the first one.
