ok ive been slack around here lately so forgive me if its already been mentioned, but I was just browsing the Dick Smith Electronics website in search of a cheap boredum buster xbox game for this weekend and come across NFS UG2 'released November 22nd"
Their usually pretty good with their release dates, when I went in the day before the NFS U official release one of the salesmen told me they had the game just come in and he could sell me a copy, I didnt believe him until he brought it out to show me ;)
Looks like I might save my money this weekend then, because Ive got a few things coming out that day :D

I'm guessing we should have a review of the full thing by that date. Don't hold us to that promise, it is dependant upon factors out of our control.

I have already preordered it from the EA Store. $32.59 with $15 discount code. Release date is Nov. 15, give it a week for it to get to Miami, and about 2 days to get here, and another 2 for the delivery guy to bring it to my front door... For Nov. 27 I will most probably be playing it, guess so... hope so!
[EDIT] Holy sh!t, I just checked my e-mail; and had an e-mail EA sent me yesterday with the shipping information! The best thing is that it is already on Miami, so I expect it at my doorstep for next tuesday!!!

sweet, I havent heard anything more about the Nov 22 (which is a Monday) release date, but now I know its a Monday I wont get a chance until at least Thursday, probably even Saturday to get it
Work is moving, we started this week and should be done by Friday next week, but the advantage was I used to have to drive past a gaming/dvd/electonics/whitegoods store which was open until 9pm
But when I was at the office I would be given a 1 hour lunch break, so I'd duck into the store when I needed a DVD such as Shrek 2 or whatever, or on my way past at 5ish Id stop in and get it
Problem is by the 22nd we'll well and truely be out (thats the day the boss has to hand the key back to our old office) and where we've moved too is no where near such stores. The only stores I now pass on my way to/from work open too late and close too early unless its "Thursday night shopping" :mad:
Ah well, I'll aim for Thursday night if I'm not too stuffed to try and grab a copy, if not I'll leave it till the weekend to start trudging around all the stores trying to grab that last copy before they run out
I'm nt able to run it on my comp, the demo laaags really bad, so i'll wait till next year once I have a 9600pro video card.

The game is out on Torrent sites....
The PC version of the game has been available in the US and Canada since November 9th, I suppose the pirated version has been around since a day or so before that... (for consoles it won't be out until the 15th)
European release date is still the 18th, but I've already seen plenty of posts on Dutch forums from gamers asking tips or reporting bugs from the full game. Was to be expected I suppose. :rolleyes:

Was at Electronics Boutique this evening, and they already had UG2 for both PS2 and PC. Was tempted to buy it.. But wondered why I would want to pay $99.95 for a game, when I probably would only use it few times.
From what I've read, a nice improvement from UG. Might just see what happens, and maybe get a cheap copy when it becomes available.. What's that? 6-9 months. :rolleyes:

The Gameswizards sent me a letter to say NFS UG2 is in stores sometime this week, so we'll see ... ive found with them and NFS titles is they have theirs on the shelves earlier then the release date, or other stores anyway, thats what makes people buy from there the fact you cant get it anywhere else for a few days ^_^
If I didnt have the money I too wouldnt pay $100 for it, but ive been smart with my savings so I am happy to say although I could put the money towards something else I havent brought a game for absolute ages and I have been genuinely saving the money for this :D

Well Y2k, its way better than the first... I have been playing for hours....
I don't like the fact I have to pay so long, and still not finish...... I'm 30% Done..... Lol
This from playing the game for about 12hrs the last few days.... &(

Well im gonna get it for my brother as an Xmas present.
We have a Nintendo GameCube so i ll get it on that (cause my computer cant handle the simplest game let alone the latest stuff)
I can't even play on lowest settings on my geforce 2 card, and UG worked fine on it for me, so yeah, I'm gonn ahve to spend about $200 on a 9600XT card (future proof) to play a $100 game, but I won't buy it now, because I can't run it and I don't need the game anyway.

thats why I went console because we've got a decent PC but it still doesnt play latest games like that, at least with the console I know it will play it when I buy the game

Its just that as the title suggests, everyone had November 22 as the release date, but in typical EA fashion this has been changed (for the good this time though)
