Former race driver Tetsuya Ota has won a ¥90,000,000 compensation pay-out in court after the court ruled raced organisers were to blame for his sickening accident.

This is one of the most horrific accidents I've ever seen.

I've seen a few other accidents involving the F355, also including a heavy side impact where a similar big flash happened.

Although they weren't quite as bad because the thing wasn't fat with fuel, unlike the car of Ota Tetsuya (proper way to write the name, with the family name first). Ota's car probably had 80 or 90 litres of RON98 in its tank.

I wonder do these race version F355's have safety fuel cells? I would suspect they should have them..

The safety cells are basically special "bag" like semi-flexible tanks, like what the Mclaren F1 road-car featured, and like what every F1 car has.
