Ok... I installed MBWR on my laptop, applied the latest patch, all is good so far right? So, I go download a few cars Frank requested I get, still, everything isgood. Now, I go into he game, and do a test drive for fun. The game is running so slow it is unplayable. What kind of laptop you ask? Brand new Toshiba A70. 15.4" WXGA screen, Mobility Radeon 9000/9100. P4 2.8ghz with HyperThreading enabled and 512mb ram. Graphics card is 64mb. I am sure it should runthis game fine, it runs nfs:u perfect at full details. Any help would be great.

Hi Envoy,Welcome to RP. Hmm,a laptop eh? ahhh, have you run the 3d set up for WR yet? Its in the start menu within the MBWR folder. Also what other programs do you have running on your laptop? Stuff like MSN is a resource hog.

Nothing else is running. It's my laptop, I don't usually run anything on it much other then the needed apps for school. Oh also, yeah I ran 3d setup, didn't seem to help any, tried everything in there. I don't understand, nfs underground runs perfect atfull details. On one of my desktop pc's, underground runs like crap, but mbwr runs awesome, and its only a 950mhz amd, 512mb ram and radeon 9100@128mb ram. Makes no sense to me.

Hi envoy,

I think I remember something like that and it had something to do with a sound/video sync problem. I thought it was fixed with the patch but I may be wrong. I will try to find the article (which may not be easy as synetic has updated their forum), it had something to do with editing one of the ini files and reduce the sound sample rate.

You can always post (in English) on http://www.synetic.de/board/ the admins there are very helpfull.

Another thing you have to check. Not sure the specs of the 9000 ATI chip but if you set AA and AF in either the video driver and/or the WR setup it may run very slow.

EDIT:

Found it. In the config.ini in your WR folder change the line "SampleRate=48000" to 44000 or 32000. This fixed my stuttering gameplay when the game came out.

sweet, thanks Frank. I will try that and get back to you. I am going to reinstall WR on my laptop and see how it goes. Had to format it for school, so everything is gone :)

nope, same deal... slow. I even tried just shutting the sound off in the game setup thingy.
