can anyone help me?
i'm running win xp home edition and i cannot use nfs pu.
i have tried the memory leak, the compatibility thing and trying the geforce tweek but it still says the cd is not in the cd rom i have multiple drives and i hope someone know how to help thanx.

Multiple drives huh? Try uninstalling NFS PU, backing up your savedata folder first. Then reinstalling the game from the lower letter driver. NFS games tend to not work otherwise... You'd think EA would fix this.. :rolleyes:

I had a similar problem when I originally installed PU. I first tried to install it from my CD burner which is D:. I uninstalled, then re-installed it from my DVD-CDROM drive which is E:. That did the trick. You also have to put the CD in the same drive you installed it from too :) I'm not totally sure why that was the case, but it may be related to a particular brand drive not being able to read the copy protection section of the CD correctly. I can tell by the sound the drive makes during the loading of the game that it is "head hunting" around those tracks of the CD where the copy protection stuff is.

another problem that might show up is that pu and some dvd drivers doesnt like each other. That happened to me but when i switched to a normal cd-rom then it wasnt any problem anymore. This was in my case a hardware prob, had nothing to do with os.
