some new liveries for you all
News:
Apparently Murphy and Kelly will be in car #15 NOT #51. The reason being apparently Gregs taking #51 with him to PWR next year, so it makes sense should Kmart make it back to back victories they dont lose the bathurst winning number next year!
I still want to see their new car
Liveries:
1)
Team Dynamiks new DODO liveried VY!

Personally I think theyd been better waiting till next year, but at least it looks better then the rest of the year :D
2)
SBR Caltex Vortex
nothing spectacular:

I wonder what Kmarts other number will be next year then?
I thought Murph was choosing #61 as it is close to #51 and is the opposite of #16 Paul Weel??
But the new Team Dynamik livery sucks! Terrible colours, too plain and a crap sponsor - DODO. ^_^
As for Ingalls, seems all oil companys want to change their products name. For example Castrol now have Castrol Formula R, once had just Castrol and a few years back had Castrol Magnitec and SLX.
I can't wait either to see Kmarts new livery (hey VQ, you may as well delete the 'Kmart unveils new livery at Bathurst' thread) but we will see it on Wednesday.
By the way, did anyone read the article about what Skaife said about SBR?
http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2004/10/02/1096527993060.html
I have to agree with him though. I also heard that Skaife/T Kelly are sticking with their older chassis (Chassis #49, not using Chassis #50 for those who know about these - I don't), I think this is because they missed their last test day along with BJR because of the rain.

ritter and mclean will choke and pave the way for my man skaifey. its a 1000Km race not 500 like sandown. i mean one driver can do the whole of clipsal 500, why not sandown?
skaife wins followed by bright/weel then murph/kelly
THey did ahve the DODO liverly on the cars at sandown, actually looked alright imo.

Well Sandown is exactly half of Bathurst.
But the Clipsal 500 is divided into two races, so its not one big stint, althought they have to driver 500kms each at Bathurst so that is interesting.
...................
Skaife contradicts himself in that article he is saying that SBR wont win cause they have split the regular drivers, but at the end he is hinting that Brock and Plato might win depending on weather, stratergy, etc.
Brock and Plato the same experience in the current V8 Supercar as Ritter and McLean.
But i don t think its Ambrose and Ritter you have to be watching i think you ll have to watch Ingall and McLean as McLean has proven that he has want it take to put and keep the car in 1st place (like he did in 2001).

Well sort of, I mean Plato has been racing overseas this year, Brocks been in the Nations Cup, (which are higher performance that v8 Supercars) so they are more used to driving, rather than Ritter/McLean have been out all this year.
But I think im going to change my tips for Bathurst now..... I think kaife/t Kelly will go better than expected..

ive seen pics of the new complex
The last time I was at bathurst the pit complex was nothing but an un level pile of dirt and a pretty torn up straight of bitumen!
Shane Chassis # referrs to just that.
Its hard to explain but basically its the same for road cars, each car has a chassis number which identifies that specific car. NONE other has it, its usually made up of the manufacturers code, the year, the model code etc etc.
What happens is throughout the life of a supercar teams buy and sell them, but visually they look the same to us. I dont know the reason I spose accidents are one, like any car once its been hit its never spot on the same!
But even in say 2 years of VY's HRT might begin with Chassis #11 and #22 (for VY's). Down the track they might then buy a new VY which is Chassis #30 etc. All up now HRT have 3 VY Supercars Chassis #1 2 and 30, but what we see is a VY supercar!
Same for Falcons ... its hard to say SBR just brought a new BA  Err but theyve been using BA's for 2 years now ^_^ In acctual fact they mightve brought a brand new BA Falcon Chassis # whatever
Keep in mind a red car is easy to put some white stickers on, think simple!
so for HRT to say their using chassis # 49 not 50. Obviously they brought 2 brand new cars at the same time, but theyve chosen to run #49. See bathurst is a great example, Chassis #49 could be the #2 HRT we've seen prior to Sandown, and #50 the #22 car, but come bathurst the numbers on the doors get changed! Chassis ID helps this too, #49 might be like I said Skaifeys championship car.
The other thing to remember is even the same make and model of car can be different to drive. People tend to think a new VY Supercar is just like the old one, but its not. Theres just an unexplainable 'difference'.
anyway I know someones going to jump in and tell me I'm wrong so go ahead, but the point is the Chassis # refers to just that which is used to ID that specific car.
Skaife contradicts himself in that article he is saying that SBR wont win cause they have split the regular drivers, but at the end he is hinting that Brock and Plato might win depending on weather, stratergy, etc. a few ppl have said this tho
Each team has a car their really looking out for
HRT's is the #2 car, the #05 car is there for different reasons. If it wins then good, but really they'd be after a #2 win
KRT is looking for the murph/kelly car to win
FPR is split. Their testing new drivers in 1 car but would like to prove to the out going Lowndes / Seton theyve left a team thats capable of endurance racing
DJR obviously #17 car
CPR is after a #11 win
See realisticallya lthough the teams go fair, it is common sense each team has a specific car they want to see win, in SBRs case its both, whereas the majority of teams only have 1 car they really want to focus on.
And its not just Skaife thats said it :nono: hes the only one tho thats been recorded as saying it
YOu forget y2k, HRT, make their own cars, from scratch, as does GRM, they get a body shell and do the rest themselves basically, so they don't buy a chassis, they make a chassis and it gets passed by Avesco or whatever with their own Chasis number I think?
