I thought I'd post this here aswell
I've done some research on all available information.
From that information I could make out Underground 2 would feature 33 cars.
But I am not certain about this now. Since I've heard "13 new cars". I've pinpointed 14 real new cars (upgrade from Lancer to Lancer Evo8 doesn't count as a new car to me.)
Behind the carnames you see where I saw these cars.
The * Means NEW car:

Cool, thanks. -^
Hey, I hadn't seen the Audi A3 before...? I don't remember seeing it on a screen or movie, was mentioned it in one of those 'trademark' lists at the end of a movie clip perhaps?

I was basicly the only one who found the A3 in the movies.
probably since you dont see it for longer then 3 sec in total in all movies.
Since ppl didn't believe it that guy made a pic of it.
Just doing my job as a NSF Fansite webmaster.
Need to inform people about this kind of stuff eh :P

at least we have a big list of sighted cars, and from all types and classes, but has any of you seen a muscle car? (old ones, not the Mustang GT) because i hear that there were 3 classes : tuner, american (muscle) and some other that i don't recall

Good work spotting the A3. Very well spotted! :)
Now, let me see, we need now a Carrera GT, and the Enzo Ferrari so we can beat up on these little ricers with some proper high performance cars. :D
Maybe an F1 Mclaren even.
You know they apparently wanted to destroy one in one of the F&F movies, but were told good luck finding an owner who will let you destroy his car. It's the sort of stuff in a ricer's wildest, wettest dream, his little Civic beating the mighty F1.. ;)
nighttraveler: I think the American muscle is the Mustang, and the Pontiac GTO, even though it isn't American.

I would literally cry if F&F destroyed an McF1!
A modded Civic would never come close to a F1.. Sure sometimes in times or 1/4mile, but in overall driving pleasure and street appeal from onlookers the F1 would win everytime.
A better comparison would maybe be some lower quality supercar, such as a standard 911, against a Civic.. That I wouldn't mind.

right... i suppose 440+ hp daily driven civics running low 10's cant come close to out running a F1.............. maybe on roadholding, but i've seen them pulling 1.01g's (JUN racing garage's civic to be exact), and civics are the Geo's of japanese cars, take a tuned lancer evo 7 or 8 for a run with a f1 and see who comes on top.
Good luck seeing a H2, Escalade, or Navigator beat any of these cars. since when are there trucks in a racing game? i bet they jury rigged the physics so the trucks are performing like the cars......

Spotted another one in the Demo into movie:
The Acura NSX (placed a real one next to it so you can compare)

Well spotted, it is definately the super-Honda.

I wonder if it really will be in the game tho.
Since the legalrights stuff does not mention the NSX.

Well, it could be instead an E-cura LSX, with E-cura badges, and it probably wouldn't matter. (not that I want to put any ideas into EA's head). ;)
It's not uncommon for game manufacturers to include little surprises, or "easter eggs" if you want to call them that.
yeah, but EA haven't done stuff like that ever I don't think, i wish they would name the GTO as a Monaro and use the austrlian names, and not let them use them horrible bodykits that go on the rest, the poor Audi's too.
And who cares if a Civic with more then 50 grand can beat a purpose built car that can carry 3 people compared to the civic which probably would only carry two people cos they got rid of the rear seat, and the sheer looks of the F1 beats a Civic, everything about a F1 beats any jap car, most cars in the world actually.

If EA licensed the NSX they would have put it in their legal notice stuff.
Their last update doesn't show it yet. While it already shows the Peugeot 106 which we found out about just a couple days ago.

Well the GTO is really that, a GTO now. It's roots are Holden, but it's a Pontiac now like it or not. :) lol It's actually a bit of a hit here in the US, mainly because of it's engine.

and because its mainly a replacement for the comaro SS which also had a 5.7 liter
We were using the LS1 before the Monaro came out, but the new 05 ones with the Ls2 for you guys is different from ours, only HSV's have the LS2 motor.

Sorry it this had been answered before but i noticed that the car list mentioned 05' Mustang GT and 04' Ponitac GTO.
Will there be an Australian Edition like with Hot Pursuit 2 where it featured the Ford Tickford and HSV's GTS Monaro.
Would it instead feature the FPV Falcon GT in place of the Mustang and the Holden Monaro in place of the Ponitac??????
Again im sorry if this has already been bought up

I doubt it. Maybe Josh could confirm perhaps with EA, but I'd guess it might be Pontiac version only.
Then again, I think I have some contacts within EA Australia, I might be able to ask them (if the guy still works there).

I'm guessing pontiac version only unless EA AU does a localized version, I asked though so we'll see if we get an answer. :)
