OK, It's time to listen to some stuff, I made these two tracks (40 seconds and about 25 seconds0 long) about two years ago with Dance E-Jay and Hip-hop E-Jay... I was wondering if anyone would post any comments... I'm gonna be doing recording later on of something too...

It's time to find out if I have any musical talent... ;)

Thanks

Hi Phil
Personally im in to more rock 'n' roll stuff and pop and old punkmusic in a holy mess lol. But i'll try to give u an honest opinion anyway. After been listening 3 times each i must say thet the hiphop tune was better in my wiew. It had a tough drumbeat in the intro that sounded promising. I was expecting a tough guitar rythm but it didnt come, instead u did something completely, in my wiew, unexpected. Thats good. Doing unexpected things is needed when making music but it cant be that in every corner. It might be good in the end but a very few amount of ppl would like it tho. The mass like the expected unfortunately.
I liked the tune and i hope u will succeed in ur work with it. But if it was me working with it, i would definately add some distorted guitars somewhere in it. Not neccesarily playing a lot of solos, 'cause thats boring in the end. Preferrably doing a hard minimalistic rythm with a lot of distortion. They could aswell be a bit in the background too. Let the drumbeat do the job.

Keep on with the struggle Phil :Peace:

I'm not a good one to comment on music... but I agree with Göran that the hiphop tune sounds like it has more potential in it, you could go the funky way like the part near the end, or you could get the bass that starts after 12 seconds give a more dramatic role, let that carry the tune. Aah, I don't know how to put it in words. ;)
The dance tune sounded solid, but also a bit familiar, if you know what I mean. ;) Plz dont attach too much meaning to these opinions, heh.

I'm with Myshkin on this. I am into serious fusion especially asian/english rave fusion. But anything other than white mans rock gets me jiggling.

Keep hitting them high notes Outlaw :)

Thanks for that guys,

I'm not seriously into that sort of music (either Dance or Hip-hop) anyway, rock is my thing, and I play guitar, I was just playing about for 15 mins one day with the e-jay program... hehe...

Thank you though,
