Look what I just ordered

the stories a long one, so I'll keep it short

ages ago when Biante announced they were involved in bringing Brockie back to the Mountain (they had a major part to do with it too) they also announced the model car range to go with it

1:18 scale #05 Brock / Plato
1:43 scale twin set #2 Skaife / Kelly #05 Brock / Plato and
1:64 scale #05 in a specially designed case which has been designed for his autograph on the background of the case but the cars "off center" so you can acctually see it

Now I was home the day they went on sale, but Ive got to use mum or dads mastercard to order it, as ive only got a key card. I thought bugger it, neither were home, so I deliberately missed it when they went on sale.

I did a deal with an interstate store to "pre order" my cars. We agree'd he would place an additional car with his order, thus if he ordered 20 for his store he would order 21, 20 for him to sell, 1 for me.

Yesterday I got an email from Biante ( a few emails acctually) that said the cars went on sale, then they were limited stock, then sold out. I read on their forum once they sold out they were gone! I thought it didnt matter, I had my deal done with this guy.

Anyway just got home from work and jumped on the net to see if he replied to my email to say "yes I'll let you know when mine arrive and you can pay me via .." BUT he hadnt.

I however had 2 more emails from Biante. The car had gone back to "in transit" (I think they hit the wrong button) because I also had an email under it to say "Temp limited stock"

I grabbed mum and her mastercard, placed the order and wallah, my order was confirmed!

I'm looking forward to it. Everyone else who ordered theires has got theirs fairly quick, so I'm hoping it'll be here mid next week

Then at Bathurst in 2 weeks time I can get the COA autographed by Brock and Plato as on the Saturday HRT host a Club 1 Members signing session where the drivers HAVE TO SIGN your gear as your a paying member, oh, and I'm a member :D

yeah, I've got the #2 HRT press release car ie the promo car they used at the beginning of the year in 1:64 scale already which is this one

Theres also the #2 1:18 Bathurst 2004 HRT car wich I dont think I'll get, because I dont have space and thus why I got it as the 1:43 twin set anyway.

I want to get hold of the 1999 #2 bathurst car because less then 1000 was made and each had the incorrect name, the window was spelt Skafe not skaife! I want to get hold of the 2001 Winner HRT, ive got the 2002 and 2003 winners. If the #2 car wins Bathurst then I'll be mega upset, because it might mean i missed out, although its still "in production" so I assume they wont take orders till after Bathurst

Then again they might take orders before bathurst because of the simple fact if it wins many people will want it, as with the previous years winners
