Its official Jaques Villeneuve will be testing for Renault at Silverstone this weekend, a feat which might lead to him taking a seat at Renault for the remaining 3 races. Man I missed this guy in racing, happy hes back, and all the best.

Wow, that was a surprise.. :) I thought he'd be racing for Sauber next year, given that he has been trying to publicly praise the steady, progressive Swiss team.
Sauber is a good team to drive for, they are a stable, steady operation with a long history in motorsport, and they know how to win, especially given their dominance in WSC with the monotonously fast and reliable C9's and C11's.
So I guess it is au revoir to Jarno Trulli huh? :( The lesson to be learned here is never upset Flavio Briattore.

Well, it seems things got nasty between Trulli and Briattore. Apparently Renault supposedly gave Trulli inferior quality car and support compared to Alonso.
So Trulli resigned, effective immediately. He may race for Toyota for the remaining races of the season.
With regards to the Renault/Villeneuve/Trulli situation, can you say coup d'etat??
This is the kind of excitement F1 needs. Liven things up by bringing back a former World Champion. It was better that way than having only one champion currently racing. Bring back one of the last guys that actually beat Schumi to a championship.
And interestingly enough, the last Renault-powered car to win a championship was also driven by Villeneuve. 1997 Williams-Renault (what was it, FW19?)

He won't have a hope in hell in the current Renaults. They are understeering pigs of things. :(
A little understeer is okay, but not massive loads of understeer Renault R24 style.
Villeneuve would be better off at Sauber than Renault. Sauber are a better team, and importantly, they have Peter Sauber as the manager (a good thing) and not Flavio Briattore.

That would make things very interesting!
I did read some report the other day, that Trulli was complaining that his car was far slower suddenly, after saying he didn't like it too much there.
Awesome! I wonder if he's still got the touch?

He has apparently.
